Does anyone have an idea what is wrong with my bird?
At the strip after shifting into second gear it bogs at first then slowly accelerates but very weakly and the same in third. I've disasembled the carbs and vated them overnight but no real improvement , the bike had been wrecked and sat for two years before I got it . I had been told that possibly the petcock being vacuum operated was shutting off due to low or no vacuum. :?:

Fuel restriction, definitely.


Check the petcock's operation, as well as the strainer at the inlet.

Probably best to remove the tank to flush it out as well, if it has any sediment in it.

Thanks northman I removed the tank this evening no sediment, but I'm replacing the petcock with a "T" and drain valve that way there should be no restriction. :???:
