Hello boyos!
I have a slightly warped right front rotor. It doesn't pulse at the lever or reduce my braking power but I can hear it rubbing on the same place all the time. Has anyone ever fixed something like this? There is a guy in B.R. that I heard has had success fixing slight warps, but I am a bit leary of that. These things are pretty specialized and they don't take to 'bending back' very well.
I was thinking about a set of those 'Wave' rotors. Has anyone got a set? Can you use all the other stock components? Brake pads? Do they effect the linked system? Can Louie get some for me?
Please help the poor uneducated offshore trash.
Thanks!
Ken

Yes to using stock pads, calipers, and no effect on the LBS.

Not sure if Louie can source them or not.

Hey Kenny, from what I gather no real difference or only a slight diffence with the wave ones other than bling...pretty pricey tho although Jaws (john in UK) quoted me a much lower price than I could find in the US...heres his e-mail:

Looking to make my XX a bit different the others around here and damned if I don't like the wavy discs!

Well that would def be a step in the right direction James.. They are getting popular but still there are not too many folk with them yet.

The two fronts alone are $287.00 plus shipping which is $31.00, making a total of $318.00

I have just foned the supplier who said the delivery time on the kits ( thats what they call the rotors ) is currently 3 weeks James.. Sorry mate.. a hellova lead time I am afraid :-(
I would rather be up front and tell you this kinda thing straight away than bull shit you and say they are on the way and oh dear they must be lost in the post ( and all the other crappy excuses people come out with ! )

Hey Kenny, there is another company selling that style of rotors, may be the same company James is talking about. If memory serves me right they are called Strem-X. Like I said "if memory serves me right"
