The Krypt Keeper
Got my usb plug to install. Kept looking at various locations to tap into a wire for power. After 30 minutes of looking I noticed a white plug in the weather protection cover for the rear blinkers. I checked with my meter and yep, perfect. Only power when key is on. So, what the hell is this plug for? Something special on euro bikes? Nope. This plug was used for the license plate light that I removed 12yrs ago. Use the tail light to illuminate my plate after hacking off mud guard. So looked in parts bin, found light, snipped wires off both, some soldering, slid wire protection back over, 3M velcro and we have plug and play usb charger. The Krypt Keeper
Yes, as I spent as much time looking for a wire to make a clean install as it did doing the actual install. There is a black plug in there also but no idea what it goes to.

racer212
I did the same thing, sorta. I wired a 12v adapter to that, but usually leave a dual plug USB socket in it,
