1999 CBR1100XX For Sale

Hey Everyone,

Selling my Blackbird, I am the original owner. She has always been garaged, super clean, less than 13,000 miles on her. Akrapovic 4into1 exhaust,(have the original exhaust too), new OEM sprockets and chain, Michelin Pilot road tires with about 3000 miles on them, all brake pads changed when the tires went on. Oil and filter changed at the end of every season. cooling system flush, new plugs and OEM air filter at 12,000 miles. Comes with a really nice bike cover too. Asking $5500. Nice bike with low mileage. Pretty quiet around here as far as sales go. I think everyone here either has what they need or moved on to a different bike. I've had mine 15 years now. Time to move on....

Very nice example of the first year FI 'Bird, and apparently very well cared for. There are few machines in motorcycling that are so well designed and subsequently reliable that offered a bar-setting performance envelope that was/is completely street legal. Many have imitated, and some have surpassed the performance thresholds, but few can claim similar marks for inherent resiliance and reliability. There are many high-mileage examples that run just as well those with low mileage.

Small wonder that there continues to be modest collector interest in the XX ('97 and '99 models in particular). Best of luck with the sale!

BigBirdXX, Yeah, I would rather keep my XX but a past neck injury pretty much prevents me from riding more than 50 miles at a time. Hence the new more ergonomic VMAX.
