  1. Time to sell the 'Wing. I have it posted on Cycle Trader and on the GL1800riders forum; I thought I would put it out to you guys. Purchased new by me in 2012 to cruise the back roads of Texas and then coast to coast. This is a one owner Candy Red/Silver Gold Wing GL1800 Audio Comfort with 5448 miles on the clock. Well that was the idea at least, until the reality of my life and schedule set in. As you can see with the lows miles on the bike, I just did not have time to ride it. It is now time to let the bike go to someone who will let it live up to the Goldwing reputation of a comfortable luxury touring motorcycle. Bike is clean with a clean title (in hand) and clean VIN. Includes two OEM ignition keys and one alarm fob. Bikes has new Texas registration (Sept) and new inspection (November). Bike has heated seat and grips along with audio but no navi. Additional items added by me: • Honda OEM Color Match Rear Spoiler with Brake Light • Kisan tailBlazer Deceleration Warning Controller • Utopia Products Built-in Driver Backrest for GL1800 • WingRider Products Truck Support System WRP-5100 • Wingstuff Truck/Saddlebag Floor Covers • Muth Turn Signal Mirrors • Honda Chrome Front Rotor Covers Asking $16000. Buyer is responsible for any third party inspections. Buyer is also responsible for picking up or shipping unless arrangements have been made between seller and buyer. Please contact me, Lee Winters, at 512-710-6440. Sorry about the sidewise pics, I do not know how to turn them right round.
  2. JoWhee has dibs, let me confirm it is the pump for sure. Edit to add I have indeed confirmed, it is the pump one. Lee
  3. I have a new in box Pro Oiler that I purchased for my '97 Bird but never installed. The box has been opened but I didnt even remove anything. I would like to get $110 shipped for it. Let me know if interested. Cheers Lee
  4. I don't post much, mainly just lurk since my '97 BB was traded several years ago. Cleaning out my pile of crap, I have an '97 OEM Blackbird service manual in great condition, think I only used it to do a fork upgrade. Before I put it on Ebay I though I would offer it up. Mainly looking for the cost of shipping to you paid to my paypal account. Anyone interested, let me know. Cheers Lee
  5. As the topic says I am attempting to wire up a dedicated 220v 20 amp dedicated outlet for my table saw. Specs: Table saw needs a minimum 220v 15 amp circuit. It has a Nema 5-15 plug on it. I currently have a dedicated 110v 20 amp circuit in my garage. All my house wire is yellow Romex 12-2 wg wire. I am going to pull the circuit's white wire from my neutral buss to give me the other leg for the 220. I will be heat shrinking either black or red on both ends of my white wire. I am going to change out the 110 outlet to a to a 220 Nema 6-20 outlet. I am going to replace my single pole 20 amp breaker with a 20 amp double pole breaker. Questions: 1. Short of turning off my sub panel, is there anyway to trace which white wire on the buss goes with my black wire from the breaker? 2. Any best practices for wiring my breaker? Black on top or white on top. 3. Best practice for wiring the 220 outlet? Ground goes to the green screw. White goes to the gold screw on the same side as the ground. Black goes to the other side gold screw. Any thing I am missing? Cheers K
  6. I just joined GL1800riders since I am interested in a Wing and this was posted in the for sale section so I thought I would pass it on as it seems a good deal. 2009 Connie for $8600 in Fayetteville NC. Link http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=294624 Cheers K
  7. I think that is a good comparison Barry. Crazy Dave, that is what I like about this board, everyone is such a giver of themselves!!!!! We dont drive it all that much and as such I have a fuel hose that has cracked I believe so when it runs it dumps fuel. I need to pull it out and fix it. Its a beautiful car but being an american muscle car guy I have a hard time "getting into it". Cheers K
  8. Power wise, Z14 all the way. Runs like a striped assed ape. I have not pulled the secondary flies yet and it still hauls. The Blackbird moves but the Zx just flat out gets it done. I actually live in Cedar Park so we are even closer neighbors! Cheers K
  9. In my opinion, the rider position is very close, however that being said when I rode my 'bird my hip did not hurt as much as it does when I ride the Zx. So I would give the nod to the 'bird in that regard. Cheers K
  10. Yes I changed the tires when I purchased the bike from the OEM ones to Pilot Powers. Yep @850 miles because the riding position hurts my hip. Plus hauling my gear around is a pain in the butt and not being about to take the wife on it kind of shifted my priorities a bit. Bike has been well maintained just not ridden. As far as a starting figured, that is kind of why I through it out here, although with this group I should know better because I will get things like "five bucks". I am wondering if say $7K is too high a figure? Cheers K
  11. LOL thanks Cecome. The car is the wife's. Needs a bit of work especially the carbs as she doesnt drive it much but is has sentimental value to her. Cheers K
  12. I am looking to gauge interest in my Zx. Looking to move to a different style of bike (Wing) so wife and I can cruise around. I bought it new and have changed the oil at 50, 250 and 500. Current mileage is @850. Yes low miles because I am a gear nazi and when its hot I dont ride plus hate carting all the gear around with me. Additionally the position hurts my hip. Bike has never been down. Has the following mods: Fender Eliminator w/LED Brake/clutch fluid changed to Super Blue Cox Radiator Guard ZX-10 front fender, original fender available Brocks StreetMeg w/ noise plug Passenger pegs removed but available pc3 / Brocks maps Puig DBL windscreen, Original available Tires upgraded to Pilot Powers Also has delrin rear mounts for rear stand, I forget the specific brand. Purchased from Cycle Gear. Cheers K
  13. I have ridden a bird with these installed in it, mine. I installed this kit when we had a group buy a few years ago and loved it. Much better over stock. Very easy to install. Cheers Kinley
  14. Look at Ron Ayers or Bike Bandit. I had replaced the one on my 97 bird and I dont remember it being 250 bucks. Cheers Kinley
