  1. That is in my neighborhood, I live next door in Oswego. If anyone is really interested in it, I can pop by for a look.
  2. Howdy. I just searched SCCA website +. Plenty of classes, more than when I was active. I had forgotten Vintage racing (SVRA). Vintage needs a log book and/or history on the vehicle. In SVRA if you lean into another's door, you will be called in to "talk". Vintage could have some rather expensive rides. There is a vintage motorcycle org. I had checked into that and it was a 1972 date of manufacture to be eligible....no racing history, just old.

what car were you considering to race? The web searches showed classes and requirements. Plenty of info.

I understand that Jack Baumgardner 's old GT5 road racers are for sale. I talked to a relative a few months back. I don't know if they've been sold. One is in Columbus, Ohio. Ron Nist bought it and was running it in Vintage. I may have an old address for him.  Jack's other (newer and rear wheel drive with MG motor) went to Florida. I heard that it was on the market as well.

    Let your search begin.

    Good luck and HAVE FUN.

  3. A little off topic, but how do you like the Bursig lift? I am looking to get a lift for my Bird, as I re-home it to our vacation house. I'm not sure I can get the blackbird plate for it, they no longer list one, so did you buy it a while ago, or does a generic plate work with the lift?
  4. These are great bags, I have the same ones for my blackbird. They hold a lot and even without the rain covers, they keep things pretty dry.
  5. She could fly out and ride it back. Kinda of a "Then Came Bronson" thing, probably the same size bike. 😉
  6. Sorry, forgot to post the years, they are a 2006 and a 2008.
  7. Finally getting off my lazy butt and selling the kids dirt bikes, should have done it 5 years ago. Thought I would offer them here first, apparently it is tough to get dirt bikes right now, and prices are stupid for the ones that are available. I am going to post them this weekend on cycle trader for $1100 for the 50 and $1600 for the 70 (I compared with what is currently on there). I will of course give a meaningful discount to a board member. Both bikes are clean, just had them checked over by my local dealer, and they fire right up. I also have clean titles for them.
  8. Sandman, the seat was perfect and exactly as described. It was a pleasure doing business with you, and reminiscing about track days of yore. Good luck with the sale of the rest of your parts!
  9. That's hilarious! And it would probably be more expensive to get a new girlfriend. Sandman, if you want to call me at 312-213-8915 and we can arrange a pickup, that would be great. I live in the western burbs (Oswego) but work downtown.
  10. I will buy it unless your existing deal comes through. I am in the Chicago are and can come by and pick it up.
  11. Done, and I pm'd the address. Thank you again, kind sir!
  12. Yes, it has been too long. I've been trying to get back to a normal schedule, but its not happening. I shot you the paypal with the address, catch up soon! -Sean
