  1. Thanks guys, will give the above options a shot.
  2. In the process of attemting to change my clutch fluid, I failed at the first hurdle, i managed to strip the head off one of the Master Cyliner screws that I think King Kong had secured in place. Any bright ideas on how to get the screw out without a major job????
  3. http://tampa.craigslist.org/mcy/468863789.html Not mine & no connection to it. It is only 10 mins up the road though, so if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM & i'll check it out for you.
  4. If I think on i'll take a look at mine at the weekend & post up some pics mate.
  5. John/Rich, I might be interested in sharing a set of these, but i'm with you on this John, i'd go for the one with max light output, not bothered what colour they are. A recent ride home in the dark reinforced this view, when I realised how crap the standard light output is. Are there any issues with these drawing excess power etc over originals, don't want to screw up anything else by fitting these???? Pete
  6. I came from a series of RR's, plus RC51 & I find the XX box very clunky in comparison, so for me it is just a 'feature' of the XX, not that this really helps.....!!
  7. It is the 27mm one I need, don't have that size in my socket set. Thanks for that, saves a potential wasted journey. Cheers Pete
  8. Anyone know what the nut size is on the rear wheel (the big one on the right side looking at the bike from the rear)?? I am work work at the minute so don't have the manual & I need to dash out & buy a socket at lunch time (so I can torque up the wheel tonight - long ride tomorrow with an early start!). I seem to recall it is a 27mm socket, but just want to make sure before i buy the wrong one.... Cheers Pete
  9. Sorry to hijack this thread, but on a related note..........looking for a Battery Tender, will the Battery Tender Junior suffice or is it worth paying the extra for the Battery Tender Plus ??? Pete
  10. Thanks all, plenty of food for thought here........ I agree on the quality of Snap-On stuff, but for the amount i'll use it I can't justify the cost, so Sears here I come it seems........ Cheers Pete
  11. I'm looking for some guidance on which brand / type of Torque wrench to buy. I will only be using it for odd jobs (wheel torqueing etc), general bike/car maintenance, so not planning on heavy usage like engine rebuilds etc...... As i'm not familiar with the US brands, I just wondered which ones are good, which ones to steer clear from etc. Given the use i'm likely to put it to, I think I need the 10-150 ft/lbs range, but would appreciate someone's 2 cents worth...... BTW, don't want to spend a fortune, but similarly, don't want one that will fall apart in no time. thanks Pete
  12. Thanks for the info airborne.............i'll do a bit more research. Pete
  13. Joe, your right I could talk lots of bull after a few beers after this episode, mind you I do that well already! Thanks xrated, here is what I know so far........... The problem I have is lots of water (condensation) dropping from the unit, so when I had it looked at, it transpires that the coil has not been serviced for quite some time & the housing that contains the coil is rotted through, hence the drip tray is overflowing causing the water to drip. The unit we have is a heat & A/C unit, I believe he is replacing the lot, I will check. The unit that is being changed (as far as I am aware) is the whole unit including shroud (I guess this is where you mean squirrel cage??) that sits above the ceiling & feeds the ducting........ The unit that sits outside the house (the piece of the jigsaw with the big fan in) is not being replaced...... Cheers Pete
  14. OK, oil/filter it is, then i'm off riding..............thanks all. Pete
