  1. I would love to but i only just got mine installed and i paid way more than what your offering if only i had waited oh well live and learn. Cheers Marchy well i just saw the part about the LCD display and i am very interested in that depending on price but cant commit as yet until i know the $$$ for it.
  2. I have one on my bike and after a 3 day ride last week i need a new one its split in half from a rock so im glad i had it beats the shit out of a new headlight i think.
  3. I use the clear 3M stuff behind the front wheel dunno why cos you cant see it but i like to know that its protected i dont know how it would go on more exposed bodywork as it didnt stick real well on my bike and i preped it cleaned it stuck it on heated it etc etc and its still lifted a bit in places but like i said you cant see it under there so it doesnt worry me. as for the bug goo on rubber a little armour all cleaner and then armour all works a treat on mine towels for the dried bugs on paint etc
  4. i read this before i went to work today and thought i would give it a try it seems to crank over another couple of seconds before firing now could this be cos there is no fuel pressure etc, I am not real keen on cranking the engine for longer than it needs so ill go back to waiting till the fuel pump stops etc then pushing the button.

    Chain Lube

Spent the best part of saturday cleaning the bird well 20 mins was to wash the bike the rest was removing chain lube! Question. What are the better chain lubes out there that reduce the amount of crap that flicks off and covers everything else or is a pro oiler/scottoiler etc etc a better way to go i realise that there is always going to be some mess involved but the stuff i am using is covering everything and its so sticky it takes a lot of work to get it off. It sprays on like a foam and is clear but turns to a liquid in a few seconds and then starts to run. I did a search for chain lube etc on here and didnt really find anything that answers my question did however see the possible group buy on pro oilers coming up would this be a better option? Any one got any suggestions????? Cheers Marchy
  6. Everything you need is right here. Welcome to the board. marty Yep thats what i was going to say I used the hose washers but i think i will need to look at another plan of attack as the clip only holds one side and i still get some movement i may just cut the spacers from the standard globes and use them. Cheers Marchy
  7. Yeah that thought did cross my mind but i didnt see anything in the book and i figured they say to use the double sided tape it cant get too hot i guess ill have to wait and see
  8. I guess it must be a down under thing but im pretty sure they are polished ally and not gold it may just be my shit photography.
  9. Well after ordering my new HID kit friday just gone I was a little unsure how to install so i had some spare time at work tuesday and had a look once i was looking i thought stuff it ill just do it and away i went i did a very rough job as i still needed to tidy the wires etc up so today on my day off i pulled it all part again and put it all in nice and neat. I found it pretty easy apart from getting the nuts back on that hold the dash in place and then i had one of the small boxes in the way of the windscreen so when pushing it back in the rubber grommets would push out and id have to start again VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!! so i cut the ties and moved them a bit they are in a much better spot now anyway so im happy. Thanks again for all the advice and a great forum! Here is a couple of pics. Pic with the dash out for access [attachmentid=1049] The extra bits that were fitted the 2 black ones that are partially hidden were moved [attachmentid=1052] Cant even see anything different very happy with the lights and my handywork [attachmentid=1051] Cheers Marchy
  10. well it just keeps getting better and better well apart from the girlfriend telling me to go get F&%# and moving out Whole different story. I went to work today and well there was nothing to do so i came back home and grabbed my new lights went back to work and started looking around to see what i would need to do..... Ah bugger it ill do it now i said and soon after it was all done well nearly just need to take it apart and make sure its all ok no wires etc in harms way all insulated etc as i did it all just by removing the wind sheild and the two small side bits it was easy enough to do just very tight but ill make sure its all good tonight after footy training i noticed the difference riding home in daylight so i cant wait to see how it is at night. Thanks again everyone for your advice as for the spacers i went with the washers as i had some sitting around. Cheers Marchy
  11. Thanks for the tips on installing i may have a crack at it tomorrow as i have a day off but i may spend that riding if the weather is good and wait for a shit day to do the install the bike may also be going back to the shop for a new CCT at just 1300 Ks I had heard the CCT was a weakness but i thought it would do a bit more than 1300 Ks from brand new!!!! oh well warranty is a wonderful thing. Cheers Marchy
  12. holy shit im in shock i ordered the kit on friday night as i stuffed the payment on thursday and i got home from work today and my neigbour said here is your parcel that arrived today! i cant beleive that it arrived so quick. oh well now i just need to find the time to install and im all good. Cheers Marchy
  13. I ordered a bagster last week and the people that i know have them say they are the ducks guts not cheap but very good quality. now i just need to wait 4-6 weeks for it to arrive Cheers Marchy
  14. well its done i emailed him tonight and had a reply in 30 mins so i got paypal sorted and sent the cash $200 US delivered to AUS i am pretty happy as i had a look at a few aussie sites today and it would have cost me $500+ AUD to get one here. I went for the 4300 kit so i will have to wait and see how they are to install. I may even have my pipes back by then and i can put them on at the same time that would be cool. Cheers Marchy
  15. Well i will be sending off an email tonight about the HID lights and was just wondering if im on the right track? I am not too concerned about the colour of the light i just want bang for my buck or light for my buck. i want to do both the hi and lo beam so do i go for a 4300 5300 6000 ???? so many options to choose from i have read this thread a few times now and i think i want to go for the 4300 if i want more light am i correct? I will probably ask these questions again to the seller tonight but i just want to know what im talking about before i start any info would be great. Cheers Marchy
