Tires for an XX a 27 year-old is going to ride.

Something sticky that can still get 6,000 mile's out of it?

I've had good luck with Avons, but both XX's came here to Wisconsin with a flavor of Pilot Roads.

We are a little budget conscious, tires are really important though.

Bridgestone t31. They do last around 6k miles. Excellent grip dry, fantastic wet. Cheaper vs. Pilot Road. Front Bridgestone has superb trailbraking feel. Very neutral.

Strange behavior in slow turns around town, an unnerving feeling.  To be fair, I've got tens of thousands of miles on Avons and maybe 1k on Michelin.  Could just be me.  If I need a street truck tire, Michelin 100%.  None of their car or bike tires have ever made me happy.  The ones on the Tesla are stupid loud.

It sounds like operator error.

Btw, I have not recommended michelins only because they are the most expensive.

They are the finest and longest lasting tires you can find.

I have used Pilots in their various iterations for years. But not being very bike-aware, my opinion means little. I just pats my money and gets them put on.

I had this friend d 40 years ago (it was me) more testosterone than money. He rode down to the wire treads more than once.

I don't see that happening ing to jr. for various reasons, but tread life definitely isn't most important factor, but it's a factor.

1" wide bicycle tires of the hardest compound available so he can't go fast.

I was always a fan of the Pilot Power. I did just test out the new Dunlop Q3 and that did really well too and both tires are reasonably priced but were on backorder last I checked

Pilot roads. Have always felt well planted and confident in their ability to grip wet and dry. Did a circumference of the country (- florida) on one set on a loaded bike. Well over 100000 miles using them.

One hundred thousand miles on 1 set?
