The Complete Harvard Classics

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up for a somewhat esoteric stocking-stuffer . . . 71 volumes of highly regarded classic literature in mobi ebook format (about 50MB) for $1.99 . . . Man, don't I wish I had access to something like this when I was slogging through school.  See the link - I kid you not . . .

Actually, I did have that set in HS.

I'm not a fan of 'packaged' sets, being a purist at heart, but this one has really grown on me over the years.

Dante's trilogy in Iambic Pentameter, not so much, still a good read though.

A recent find is the volume titled Famous Prefaces and Prologues. Sounds boring right, but includes such gems as Samuel Johnson's introduction to the first English dictionary in 1755. You knew that we didn't always have dictionaries, right? LOL enjoy, 4 stars.
