Dotetcher
I think the bearing might have an issue.
Dotetcher
On top of the stator I just replaced. I would ask the question but am afraid of the answer.
superhawk996
A squirt of WD40 will fix it right up. How'd you discover it was bad? Noise while riding, caught it while doing other stuff, ...?
Dotetcher
Noise while riding. Was feeling a bit of a tick when throwing the bike through some corners the last couple of days. Then some louder ticking I could feel even more. The round metal circles on the rotor opposite side of bad bearing started rubbing against something. Not quite sure what. It was suprising though. No wobbles. decelerate with hands off bars no wobbles and bike stayed on track. Weird.
blackhawkxx
That rotor/bearing pic looks like something that had been in the ocean. 1 hour ago, Dotetcher said: No wobbles. decelerate with hands off bars no wobbles and bike stayed on track. Weird. That is the XX Bird for you, stable.
Furbird
I went through a couple of bad batches of bearings when I was drag racing constantly. Enter a corner, whine. Going straight, no noise. Zero wobble, just noise similar to your experience.

Saltwater at the S curves around Rodanthe is a common thing depending on tide and winds. Sometimes there’s no choice.
XXitanium
I was thinking it look like it had been in a tidal flood.
