SwampNut
Half a second? One second? How long is the hose that needs to be pressurized? Seems like a dumb idea when you're trying to stop shit from happening in a split second.
superhawk996
I had a 4 horn set-up on my sandrail and I'd say it took no more than half second to hit full volume. It's not the instant blast of a horn with a tank & valve, but the ramp-up is quick. Most kits have a very short hose, and judging by the hose (looks like vinyl tubing) the horns aren't very high pressure. The typical old school roof mounted truck air horns have a high pressure hose to the valve and the valve is directly attached to the horn. Typical tank pressure is 120PSI.
