OMG
I installed one in the right mirror. Bought 4 from china, not expensive, as I remember someone here recommended them.

The Krypt Keeper
it does give you some peace seeing real time voltage. The one I used was a pretty simple install and held in place with 3M Velcro. Find it to be a little too big to cut a permanent hole on my bike, so I would suggest the use of a smaller one similar to what Phillip used in his mirror. Smooth clean install he has for his, really like that. Don't know how other meters compare, but mine does get washed out from the sun at certain angles when the sun is behind me or shining over my shoulder. But is clear 99% of the time. superhawk996
There's also those devices that are just a light that changes colors to indicate voltage levels, google "motorcycle charging indicator" and you'll see some options. It gives less info and costs more, but is small and much more likely to get your attention if your charging system goes out. A voltmeter is nice but won't do anything for you 'till you read it. RXX
Many radar detectors have a voltmeter readout option, if you are a scofflaw.
