blackhawkxx
Mine is lowered 1" on the money and twice with a very large bump it has contacted the fender with a matching mark to prove it. I have a 97 so if yours is a different year, results may be different.
Peepa
Mine was an 03. I just picked up a 00 but have yet to ride it and I doubt I'll be lowering it that far ever again. An inch out back and strapping the front seemed to net me the best result when at the strip and it's easier to swap back and forth since I ride it stock any other time
silverbird1100
I hope this isn't blasphemy here but I test rode a VFR1200 simply for the fact that I don't want to buy a 13 year old bike sight unseen. I've ridden a few now and here's the deal. In stock form they are utter shit. I rode a 2012 (slightly improved) with the shaft drive recall done (reduces slop in the drive train) re-flashed ecu and an Ohlins rear shock. Lets just say that if you can get past the looks (helps to get a black one) it is in fact a Blackbird replacement minus 1.2 gallons of fuel capacity and a shaft drive that feels like a perfect adjusted chain all the time. Very excited to get one.
John01XX
I agree with you with 2 exceptions! I happen to actually kind of like the look even in Candy Glory Red! 1.2 gallons is just to much to give up.
