BDAZ XX
The couple wanted to bring the outdoors into their bathroom with river rock and slate. The addition of the plant stand and skylight was the little bonus for them.
Silverbird2
I like the way you did the rock border and base. How do you do that?
kiwimack
I like the way you did the rock border and base. How do you do that? +1 the extra grout lines where the rocks are and having the insets just off a full tile would drive me nuts.
BDAZ XX
I like the way you did the rock border and base. How do you do that? The rock came on 12x12 sheets from Lowes. I cut the width I wanted and used the border of the rock to apply 1" blue painters tape to the wall for a border. Mixed the grout, put some rubber gloves on and started applying handfuls of grout to the rocks. I pulled the grout down with my hands, waited about 20 min and wiped off with a sponge. After about 45 min I pulled the tape off and had my outside edge with a nice and clean look. Glad you all like it. It is something different that the clients wanted and they told me to do it anyway I wanted. Needless to say, they are very happy with the results.
