You have to machine a spacer (basically just a 1" thick washer) for the spring to work,but other than that it's a drop in fit. I can't afford an Ohlins & this is a great mod for the budget minded. Waysherr is trying to sell is Bird. In the description of farkles he mentioned that he had a 929RR shock. Being cheap as hell, this would be something I'm interested in as a quick survey of 929 shocks ebay show a price range of $40-90. lensmanxx Posted August 11, 2012 Share Posted August 11, 2012 I sent an old XX stock rear shock to Traxxion Dymanics- They rebuilt it- new fluid, gas, spring, and revamped rebound control for around $200, IIRC.
