racer212
I'm taking in a pretty nice CBR1000F - grand daddy to the XX. Greg/black, 29k miles. A few minor scratches, stock, grey haired adult owned. Recent/new tires - previous owner was getting ready to take it on a long trip so everything is fresh. Decided on a new Vstrom instead. My boss is a little skitish on keeping older bikes around, nothing wrong with this one. $2500 plus tax/DMV for the XX crowd? Will post pics when I can. CALCXX
My friend Neil has one. It's a great bike. Comfy sport tourer. Not slow by any means. Heavy, but heavy is good in high gear.
Strek
I've got a 96. Great bike. Bit more upright than the XX. Comfy. Smooth. I also owned an older 88 CBR1000F as well. Good luck with the sale.

racer212
Actually, my sales manager had snapped a couple when she came in. Try these. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/ALVi...CBR1000F003.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/ALVi...CBR1000F002.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/ALVi...CBR1000F001.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g29/ALVi...CBR1000F006.jpg

Strek
Looks nice. I always liked the color scheme. It has some sort of header on it. Might want to get a pic of the other side so folks can see the pipe. Looks like it has risers on the bars or maybe the previous owner moved things around on the fork tubes. My 96 has linked brakes but as I recall the 93 did not. I'm really happy with my CBR1000F. If anyone would like a seat of the pants review and comparison of this bike compared to the XX I'd be happy to provide my perspective. Seems like it would be a real nice bike for someone. Good luck with the sale.
TOXXIC
No offense, but over priced....XX's are bringing $2500 to $3K. I had one of these 10 years ago with 8K miles and sold it for $2800. Granted they are cool bikes with better ergos than an XX, but the other deals you have offered the board are better buys....

I know some of the other bikes I've put up have been better deals, but still feel this is priced right. Hard to find a big bike in good shape for less... XXitanium
Bump. Personally - I'd rather give mine to one of my boys after they get a few miles on a smaller bike than sell it for $2,800. Your price is a good starting point. You can always deal lower, you can generally not raise price later. Who knows, with the right customer at the right time.... That's a nice looking 'cane. There weren't any on eBay today. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/mcy/2956110995.html http://montana.craigslist.org/mcy/2953643486.html ...no pics... I have ridden these and must say they are solid and fast so to speak, Is it as comfortable as my modded XX , not stock but it can be made to be:)

I have the same corbin in all black for my 96 CBR1000F. Less miles on my 96 too. What have you done to your XX to make it more comfy than the CBR1000F? XXitanium
...I added the XX peg lowering brackets to my Hurricane. They required a little modification, but it was a quick project with good results.
