ABS Complete fairing kit, Aftermarket (not mine) looks good

Recommended Posts

I've been waiting to hear some buyer feedback, too. Seems too good to be true. I'd hate to buy something like that just to save some bucks and have it devalue the piss out of the bike. Maybe they'd make good race skins.

I was thinking race skins too. I might just get a set for the price. Can't be worse than replacing panels at over $200 a piece from the stealer. The whole set for the cost of 2 panels.

Now if I can just stop spending money on guns and ammo, err beer and porn I might be able to afford em. :icon_biggrin:

I too would love to see a set mounted up first. I just dropped almost $500 for a new upper fairing. I'd be a happy with a decent fit and finish since with 52k on the clock it's not worth much anyway.

You have a point. At a certain amount of mileage it probably doesn't make a lot of sense to put $3K worth of new plastic on a wrecked XX. I think I have close to 30K on the clock and have to replace almost everything. I'll have about $10K in the bike by then. :icon_think:

Twenty or thirty of us should kick in twenty or thirty bucks and buy one for the last guy to have wrecked his bike. With the following qualifications: The recipient must log, photograph and write reviews and impressions. Limits one person's liability and answers all of our questions. Additionally, we help out a brother in need. Just an idea.............I'm up for twenty.

The math was based on a set I saw sell for $480.00

I like this idea too, Also would need several other opinions about the fit & finish also to be complete

+1. I'd kick in $20 just not to get screwed.

Do these guys make plastic for other bikes? If they do, maybe we could get some feedback from another forum.

If you read his feedback, you can see that several people have purchased complete kits. They all basically said well worth the money, but not quite factory quality. I went through about 9 pages and didn't see anybody complaining about fit on the full kits.

The guy that posted the kit with the flames seems to be a better deal. It's less money, and it also includes the panels around the gauges.

Sounds like a better deal ?? Have you looked at his feedback currently he has a total of 1 & it sets at 66.7% = F-

Offers one style-flames only?? hwere the other guy is offering nearly a whole rainbow of colors.

Not to mention the other guy DOES include the panels around the gauges & tank pieces, Click the link & scroll down to page to all the pictures.

The flame kit is a 10 piece kit whereas the others are 13 piece :icon_surprised:

Obviously most people wouldn't NEED the cover panels but it obviously ads to the price :icon_confused:

Saw these today myself,

I may be in for the set

blue looks good to me since I just got back from Spain, even though all the birds I saw were black

I paint my bike every year and this year it is lexus red, but I know I will screw it up by winter. My wife knocked over the freshly painted bike at sturgus a year ago, if i take her again I should figure another hosed set......

  • 5 weeks later...

a buddy of mine (admin on 1000rr) has recieved no less than 2 sets of ABS plastics in race replica desgn for his 1000rr....

as a COMP for test fitting them and providing feedback to the seller.

He is now on the list to be the first to test-fit before going to production!!

He had an issue with a tail-piece...seller sent a new one - for free. He got to keep the usable old one, but the seller wanted it to be right/better. He got a one-off production piece to try and he provided feedback again. He has been very satisfied with the ABS from China. They mismatched the RK chain sticker and NGK plugs...but, it's from China!?

I say someone contact this guy and ask if they need a US model/tester? maybe at least for a discount? or a "race" version.

Maybe someone already did it?
