MrBadExxample
I started this deck in early April. Even though I worked on it every evening and weekend since then, I didn't finish it till last week. Well I did take two weekends off to attend WVXXT & SEXXT. Anyhow, it's done now and I'm pleased with the result. Ledger Board, Footings and Landing Pads complete Framing complete Deck planks being installed, my son using the deck board pusher. Finished I put double posts on the corners as a theme for the deck This deck has two stairs, which were rather time consuming to create. I added panels under the deck create a dry storage space. They're installed to be hidden from most views. The railing was very labor intensive, mainly because of these lap joints where the railing attaches to the posts. Anyway that's it. I probably drove in over 1800 screws making this deck. I don't want to touch the drill again for a long time.

tvking
That looks great. Under the deck looks like a good place to put the dead bodies.

MrBadExxample
Thank you for the compliments. When I first finished this project I just wanted to be done with it. Being my first deck, it took me much longer than I thought. But I've been done with it for a couple of weeks and the various frustrations along the way are fading. My next project will be a playground/swing set for the kiddos. Much easier and cheaper I hope.
