sam3375 Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 Hi all, I went for a ride Friday nite and one of the guys I rode with informed me that my brake light wasn't working I checked it Sunday and determined that when I press the rear pedal hard the brake light illuminates inconsistently but front break lever application does not illuminate the brake light at all. Any advice on what to check and how to check it would be greatly appreciated. TIA for all the great advice! I have a 99 Bird with stock brake components. Northman Posted February 26, 2007 Share Posted February 26, 2007 Sounds like a problem with your switches. Rear switch is adjustable, but I don't think the front is. You can disconnect the two wires at the master and cross them, that should illuminate the brake. If it does, you have a defective switch.
