One of the largest studies saying that meat and egg consumption has a smaller (but not zero) negative effect on health are funded by........... Meat-centric organizations. Shocker. They focused on the idea of "reasonable" changes in diet, ignoring the fact that you can just change anything you set your mind to. Retarded. Retarded. Is there any validity in the idea that some meat consumption is better than cutting it out entirely? There are studies showing that moderate amounts of alcohol and tobacco use are actually beneficial, even tho both are viewed as poisons by many health professionals. The guy who did “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie” promoted that going absolutely without meat is bad for you. We’re meant to eat both plants and animals. There are things we get from meat that vegetables can’t provide. As an aside, it’s like eating “real food.” You can make a food bar with all the nutrients your body needs, but synthetic food doesn’t work as well as eating real food. Our biology isn’t rigged to take in synthetic food…we’re designed to extract what we need from real food. There is more of an issue of real food lacking nutrients because of modern farming techniques. That said, eating meat being bad had much, much more to do with your personal genetics. Some can go 100% vegetarian and be better off. Some can live off meat with no health issues. Most of us need to have a balanced diet. blackhawkxx
I guess we will find out about the egg thing as there is rarely a day goes by without me eating at least one egg. Some days 3.

I can't find any at all. This video debunks the concept, for the most part. There's just no evidence that people need to consume any animal products. We can get 100% of what we need from plants with one exception; B12. And that's sort of available from a plant, but not in any normal diet so you just need a supplement. 10 hours ago, superhawk996 said: There are studies showing that moderate amounts of alcohol and tobacco use are actually beneficial, even tho both are viewed as poisons by many health professionals. They've been pretty well debunked. Just like the cagey lies and manipulations he points out regarding meat. They proved something by picking and choosing the details. "Olive oil is good for you." Um, compared to what? A pork rind? Sure. Compared to whole food and substituting nuts and similar things for oil? All oils have some bad effects on the body, that just seems to be one of the least bad. Oils have zero nutritional value, just calories. Separating the oil from its fiber and other nutritional components correlates with a lot of issues.
