Air Fried Whole Cauliflower

Peel 

Rinse

Put in hot water for 30 minutes (I boil a pot shut it off and leave)

Dry well

Marinate for 2 hours 


3 table spoons of Avocado 🥑 oil. 
Add: (you don’t have to use this combo - use whatever you like but a slurry is important as it makes a nice crispy shell over the top) 

 

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Aleppo Powder

Marsala Powder

Chili Powder

Cayenne Pepper Powder

Smoked Paprika 

Ancho Chili Powder

Half lime squeezed 

 

Make a slurry and brush

 

Wait 2 hours

That combo of spices would work well with something like tahini instead of the oil for the nutritional improvement.  Blending a bit of any nut butter like tahini with some water and citrus juice works well with these Middle East/Asia spices.

Let me know how it comes out.  I tried it once without the short hot water bath and it was dry, hard and super chewy.  Without water in the veg - it didn't seem to be that edible for me.  The water batch takes the density out and softens it nicely because it's whole. 

 

When I AF cut veg - it turns out very different than whole. 

 

Let me know what you do and how it comes out.
