  5. I'm planning on racing all the WMRRA and WMRC events this year, and my race fund needs a serious topping up. So I'm selling my brand new, never worn size 12 black tech 8's They're $429 plus taxes and shipping at the online dealers. How about $365 OBO plus shipping sound? Here's what a good site for MX gear reviews has to say about them. Tech 8 review Depending on the condition, I may be willing to trade them for a decent set of tire warmers (Chicken Hawk,Woodcraft or Graves) that fit my Race SV 160/60ZR17 120/60ZR17 Paypal preferred Shoot me a pm if interested Cheers...Eric
  6. Sharkbite fittings rock with one exception, make sure you do not use them if your house is plumbed with plastic poly-B pipe. Poly -B was used for about 10 years from late 70's until around 1990.Then they banned it for any household domestic water use due to the fact that A..... it's fucking crap and B.... it was responsible for about a 100 million dollars worth of damage to buildings because fails way too much. You can tell if it's Poly-B quite easy.Poly-B is usually stamped on the pipe stamped on the pipe at 18 to 24 inch intervals or by just checking its wall thickness. It has a very thin wall when compared to Pex or super Pex Another way to tell is Pex and Super Pex are almost always white(sometimes either of these can also be red and blue) Pex and Super Pex exclusively only use Brass fittings and the crimp rings are dark colored. Poly-B is almost always a light Grey color and can have either Brass (Later installs use Brass tee's elbows couplers etc etc) or plastic fittings (Earlier installs have plastic tee's,elbows couplers etc etc) and the crimp rings are bright copper. In the last update in my code book Sharkbites can no longer be used with any form of poly -B mainly due to too may blow off failures at the fittings
  7. looks very good Randy i also own a custom kitchen and bath company, basically me and two other employees.I do all everything in house as well. It's the only way to keep up the quality i want. We just finished this one,i designed it myself as well. The house was a really boring west coast style side split level. The client wanted it to look like a ski chalet. So we took out all the walls and made it into this great room concept. It is going to be featured in a local design magazine this spring.
  8. I Love it.the things a blast.Brakes are phenomenal and i love the fuel injection. 106 posts in and I can already tell you it's probably not in your best interest to get into a pissing match about spelling, grammar or punctuation. Might want to go back and do a lot of editing of your own shit with a dictionary and a third grade English textbook before you start that fight. Furthermore, Stan has a point. You want to drive the price down, do it via PM, otherwise you're just mucking up a member's sale. I swear to God we're going to start moderating in the section again if this crap keeps up. Blackwing, say the word and I'll clean up this thread. Your call. Just ignore him he will get bored and move along soon enough
  9. The triple and ohlins alone were 2200 bucks.there's almost $5000 bucks in parts alone on this bike
  10. yup except on mine i have a XR's only billet rear rack and a much more skookum skid plate
  11. Now that i have the Husky 450 SM i'm thinking it may be time to sell my XR650sm She's loaded with Talon hub, excel 17" rims,Ohlins forks, offset emgo billet triple,Full Baja kit, lights signals horn etc, rebuilt rear shock,Motomaster 4 pot billet calipers with 310 mm disks,Brembo radial master and braided lines all around, with new HH green brake pads all around.Brand new set of Dunlops SM tires on it. I ran it twice on the track.Runs excellent and pulls like a freight train, very fast and fun SM.Needs nothing but a rider She was street registered in MN,i have the MN title still and i have never registered it here in BC Canada. I can take a pic tomorrow. With the Ohlins and brembos I'm looking for some where around the $6500 mark, without the Ohlins/Brembos I'll let it go for $5500. bone stock $4500 I had it shipped to Seattle from Minneapolis MN using Forward Air. The total shipping cost including crating the bike was only $550 bucks.I was impressed by the service they provided and the bike was very well packed. Shoot me a email or pm if your interested. Cheers..Eric
  12. That can be headstem bearings or tyre profile that causes that For a complaint about head shake on a bird equipped with a set of Givi's or Kappa's,I would just about gaurantee it's caused by the bags. All of my XX riding friends have noticed it on their bikes and both of my birds (the used 2000 and brand new 2002) had the exact same shake whenever the Givi's were on.
  13. aw shucks, been a long time since i was asked that Sorry...I'm been happily hitched for 27 years with my high school sweetheart.
  14. Bumpity....... Open to any reasonable offer. As a added bonus if required I'll include a free belt sanding of the pucks to your spec
  15. I scrounged a camera today I'm 6'3" 230 pounds with a size 36 waist and a size 50 chest. I have big shoulders that make it just a little too tight, otherwise the suit fits me perfectly everywhere else. It should fit anyone fine if they are between 6' and 6"3 tall as long as their chest size is a 48 or smaller. The waist of the suit still has plenty of room,so it should fit ok for anyone up to about a size 40 waist.
  16. Mint condition Size 58 Euro Dainese Safety Pro one piece suit. My digital camera is on the fritz as soon as i can borrow one I'll take a pic of it and post it up Here's a pic of a red one i found on another site I bought this suit in 2005 and have only worn it once for a track school. It's black with a few bits of yellow accents and it has a speed hump on the back. The only marks on the suit are on the pucks, which have a tiny slight wear on them. The suit comes with full CE approved armour everywhere,a built in pocket for the Dainese Back protector (not included) and carbon fiber patches on the shoulder and elbows, even the lining is removable. This suit was a expensive suit when new,I paid $1650 bucks US for it in 2005.If you check out their website,It's comparable to the current Bora or W frame suit in looks and features. $625 US obo Shipping will be extra. Either from my Canadian address or if you are willing to shoot me an extra $20 bucks to cover the gas costs i'll drive down across the border and ship it from my Blaine,Washington postal address. I prefer paypal but will also accept a postal money order. Pm or email me if your interested. Thanks...Eric
  17. :icon_banghead: too late for me,i bought a 08 three weeks ago if Dave decides to sell any of the accessories separately I'm interested
  18. if you do decide to return it to stock and sell off the accessories separately I'm in for the windshield, throttlemeister and the Heli risers
  19. I own a house renovation business that specializes in restorations, take it from me if you're going to insulate a unheated building make sure you install a 8ml plastic vapor barrier over the insulation.Other wise your drywall (or plywood) most likely will develop moisture problems from condensation.
  20. what about us up in BC? I'm sure could steal the wife s SV for a little spin out to Winthrop and back. If you want to spice it up a bit more, try doing the loop the other way instead of coming back thru Leavenworth. cross over the border at Omak and ride back to the coast on Highway#3 in BC it's even twistier than 20 and there's no revenue generating vultures like the cops in Concrete
  21. I'm asthmatic and have allergies to dust, we put one of these in ... at 350 to 450 bucks i know its expensive but for me its the best money i've ever spent. I installed it myself and it was super easy,i removed the bottom section of the cold air return boot and my local sheet metal shop modified the boot to accept the larger size of the filter, it only cost 40 dollars. The current draw is negligible just over 3/4 of an amp ,so you can probably scrounge power any 110 volt outlet or light circuit thats near the furnace. The amount of crap it cleans from the air is remarkable and my allergies which used to really act up in winter are pretty well gone now.
  22. Hi Peter, I run Pilot sports HPX's on mine and really like them. we can meet up if you want to try them and you can take mine for a spin to try them first if you want. pm me your number or set a time and place so we can meet Cheers...Eric
