  1. Hi Joe..... I'm sorry they don't have the same customer service skills as I do.... Could you describe them ? :icon_think: Come by in Daytona, warm up the ole bones and such. I'll be there. And then at the Americade and the Hoot.... Cheers,
  2. First of, the JC crap is just that - crap. And I think it stays way behind GIVI, Kappa, Krauser, Hapco&Becker , Shad and now gone Nonfango. I know few guys have them (i.e. Justin) and they are cheap to buy.... But their mounts are total pos. And the mounting points for the bags are spaced in a diferent places than those on the GIVI bags. The pyramid clamp where the case locks down, is of a different size and shape too. BTW, if I'm not mistaken, the FJ kit has been long gone. There is a chance that you could sell it to someone who wants one. Just my opinion though. Cheers,
  3. They are better than a milk crate, but I'm pretty possitive they won't fit GIVI speciffic racks.... But one can pack into anything, I guess.... :icon_think: Cheers,
  4. rcskisfast your bags are mounted backwards.... Nice bags though Cheers,
  5. Not sure if these HID's are any good, but found these links on another forum and thought that prices sure went down..... (or maybe I'm out of the loop ?!) Just in case someone is looking...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Xenon-HID-C...069451029QQrdZ1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-XENON-C...065133482QQrdZ1 Cheers,

    mirrors

These look like the standard CBR 600/900/1000F mirrors.... http://superblackbird.arnolddegraaf.nl/gallery/gallery19.php Unless you can be very creative.... http://superblackbird.arnolddegraaf.nl/gallery/gallery10.php Cheers,
  7. Because the parts person you talked too has no clue..... Which I found true with few dealers I dealt with in Ontario. :icon_duh: Here in the US, dealers have a separate "Quick Reference" book, where HONDA lists all the consumable OEM parts, as spark plugs, filters, o-rings and seals, batteries, chains.....and the touch up paint. The parts person can look them up either by the color code ( NH 359M for the '97 - '99 and NH 463B for the '03) or by the model and the year.... Here is the example (but they don't have the XX paint - I'm sure they could get it though...) http://www.wingworx.com/index.asp?PageActi...amp;ProdID=1045 Few years back, HONDA would sell them in the packs of three for around $12.00. I think we were selling them individually for around $4. Hope you found your paint. If not, let me know and I'll try to bring you some to the NEXXT.... Cheers,
  8. I replaced both kits, plus the springs, plus the oil, plus the seals, plus the slider bushings ( 51415-MBW-E11 - part #10 here http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/fro...amp;parent=5570 ). Then I drilled the extra holes in the valves, which turned out unnecessary apparently. But since I did the job with a friend who's never done it before, I think we might have messed up somewhere. The result is better, but not sure if it's awesome. The combination of shims, length of the spacer, spring rate and the oil level, all play the role here and these are the areas we could have messed up. Plus as I mentionned, we shouldn't have drilled the holes.... If I were to do this again, I think I'd let a proffesional shop do it, although it was extra $200 then (here in Chicago, in the autorized RT dealer). RT charges $120, IIRC but you have to ship the forks obviously and they can't (I don't think !) set the sag for you.... Cheers,
  9. But they corrected the mistake and you've received the right screen, right ? They also as you said implimented your suggestions..... Sounds like they did as much as a good busines would do, yet you seem to stay dissatisfied . Tough crowd..... Cheers,
  10. The front strap goes under the neck of the frame...... You drop the strap down on the left side, in front of the frame, go under-around the neck and come back up on the right side. Just make sure you don't pinch any wire or cable.... This is a very simple cover, comparing to let's say the GS Adventure - there are 9 straps to pull there... Cheers,
  11. No, you don't....... Givi magnetic bags stick to the tank, even through the Bagster cover.... The fit and quality are very good, IMO My bag (between the XX and the ST I had) has about 130 K miles behind it. It doesn't look new, but still looks okay and everything still works. I agree about the waterproofnes though. With the older bags, like the Alpha, you have to pull the rain cover out. I've heard that the Athena and Tektra (both bags with side pockets) are better. There is a nw line of bags acvailable no though. Check with Cima Intl. - helmets@aol.com or 866-2-helmet for more info. If there is an application, Bagster will definatelly go on my next bike. Cheers, P.S. PErsonally, I'd stay away from the "Crystal" models. I don't think they look that good and they .... scratch !
  12. Sorry to hear this..... My experiences with the Twisted Throttle and their staff are quite the opposite. Also, from the comments from other boards and customers I meet at various shows, I've heard nothing but possitive and good things about them..... Give them another chance ?..... Cheers,
  13. yes, you want the "sky grey" color. The XX was available in titanium color in Europe in '96 through '98, and in Canada in '98.... Here is the cover and the part # http://www.bagster.com/en/moto/catalogue-z...=1328C&idprod=1 The picture doesn't give justice to the color. The bag is more like it, though. http://www.bagster.com/en/moto/catalogue-z...=803W1&idprod=2 And here is a photo of a bike with the cover installed. Contact CIMA Intl. for more info..... 866-2HELMET or helmets@aol.com...... Same people who import Nolan helmets..... Good luck,
  14. I see the red "x's" But here is the original thread... http://www.superblackbird.info/m_sg_zuzarte-leonard.php Cheers,
  15. "Nice" Chineese Givi rip-off.... Good price (I suppose) and they should mount on the oryginal Givi racks. GiviUSA bought few to check them out. Apparently the quality is poor and the bags are made out of thin abs plastic, which may shatter when dropped or hit.... Your call, but I wouldn't bother. Same as those $60 topcases that have been on the market for years... Cheers,
  16. Magnetic ? Givi T 426 ! Three bags in one.... http://www.amotostuff.com/Merchant2/mercha...oduct_code=T426 If you need to prottect your tank, than Bagster is the answer.... http://www.bagster.com/en/moto/catalogue.p...CBR%201100%20XX Pick a year and the color.... or look here... http://www.cbr1100xxforums.org/forum/viewt...ghlight=bagster Call CIMA 866-2HELMET or helmets@aol.com Cheers,
  17. lmmb, you need the Z340 (Monolock) plate and it will work with the Wingrack. Cheers,
  18. Monokey is more solid, secure and just better, all around..... 8) Good luck,
  19. So you don't have the McCuloch kits? Or are the McCuloch kits packed in various boxes....? :scratchhead: And if you don't have the McCuloch kits, then my earlier post (HID v. HID) is irrelevant.....
  20. Uhm... wouldn't the package indicate that ? What does the box look like that you guys are getting ? The first or the second ? .....
