  1. Found these on Egay, Not what I'd consider reasonable, but others might...
  2. Anyone have one o' them high end CCT's available?
  3. You have quick hands and a very small funnel, don't you...
  4. Thought I mentioned that I'm a freak and prefer to read the damn thing... once anyway. yeah, well, untill I get the 8K in medical bills paid off, I'm gonna be a cheap prick. After that, I'll just be a prick.
  5. I've seen the service and parts pdf's, I'm one of those geeks that actually read the little book under the seat on my '99 and would like to see it for the '02. If it's really there and I'm just not seeing it, please lead me by the hand as I can be a tard at times and need all the help I can get.
  6. It is the Acumen gear indicator. We have several riders with this set-up now. It will also work for the digital cockpit version..... How would it be set up in the digital cockpit? Not sure I need one, but it is kind of a neat idea.
  7. I'll be buying EBC's for the new bike soon. Never had a problem with them in the rain or any other time. Even snow didn't bother them.
  8. She was late teens, early 20's at most. Still in PJ bottoms on the way to work. Just had no license, no insurance and someone elses car. Oh, and her head up her ass. Convex mirrors? damn, wish I'd thought of that years ago. I can use them but have to think about focusing on them right now. Have some on a work truck and really jacks me up everytime I look at them. I was told that my red jacket on the silverbird doesn't look right today. Maybe I'll get the same awarness as you now... Hopefully.
  9. an owners manual for the 2002 model? My newbike doesn't have one. PDF or pretty much any digital version is fine too, just want to read it at least once.
  10. I have a Joe Rocket in Red that is similar. I got hit at 8:00 AM in broad daylight. I don't think th eyellow would have made much difference. Maybe, but if the blind bitch couldn't see the headlight in her face... And good call, I'm already pretty annoying; ask my wife... Good call, I've worked with it in the past. Works well too. I'll have to find some and sew it on my jacket, luggage, pants & anything else that may be seen.
  11. I was looking at these earlier. No question I'll have one of these. not a bad choice I guess, I'd want them to be always on rather than needing a switch but I can see where they would get attention. Thanks for the suggestions.
  12. After having been run over while sitting at a stoplight, I'd like some suggestions on gear to increase visibility. Mainly I'm thinking Headlight modulator and LED taillights with various patterns. What am I missing? I'd just like retarded cagers on their cellphones to see me before they feel the bike under their wheels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Byron

Philip, have you bought stock in hairspray yet or is varnish a viable option? I like it too. Would ahve had one years ago but the Navy didn't approve...
  14. Ok, new bike is now in my garage. Still needs the throtlemiester or 1 black bar end and some other stuf I'll post once I make a list. Thanks all, Byron
  15. I'll take the abr ends if they are still available. If not, no real loss... TIA Byron
  16. Thanks for the info. looks like I'll be ordering a CCT soon.
  17. Just wanted to know if the R/R and CCT problems were corrected by 2k2 or will I be looking to replace them before too long?
  18. for a 2002 Silverbird. Also looking into throtlemiester or bar ends and foot peg road feelers. This is all for the new bike I'm probably going to buy, 90% positive so just need to know if they are available just now, may be 2-3 weeks before I buy. Thanks...
  19. I'll look into the judgement, although I think mine will fall just behind State Farm's. They are going to chase her for everything they have to spend on me under the uninsured motorist policy I keep (Thank God I've been keeping that policy). Anyway, I won't be doing much of anything until we find out the extent of my problems. MRI at 11:45 tomorrow to check for ruptured disks in my back. I still ache whenever I've been laying down, sitting up, walking or breathing for too long so we're gong to make sure it's just normal aches and pains, not internal injury related aches and pains. Anyway, I'll get over it and be back in the saddle as soon as I can. The part I hate most (after having my baby beat up) is that I had ordered a new helmet 2 days prior to the wreck and now it's sitting in my closet just begging for a ride. I may have to borrow a bike in the next week... just no one tell my wife.
  20. Forgot to mention that along with no license and no insurance, it was someone elses car. I don't think sueing her would be worth the effort, I could own her entire world and still owe the lawyer more than I get. Damnit.
  21. Well, it just keeps getting better. After the wreck on the mountain, the bike was still ridable so I continued to ride it to work. on Oct 27, I was in the turn lane about 3 feet back from the thick white like when a little girl, who has no license and no insurance, decided to run over me. the front of the bike is trash. forks bent, plastic shattered, headlight assembly torn off.... just ugly. I was thrown off and my back was tweaked a little but seem to be fine otherwise, just bumps and brusies. Anyway, I think the old girl has had it. I spent a week in bed and am now back at work although not nearly as productive as I was 3 weeks ago. Took her to the shop yesterday, we'll see what they have to say about it.... Byron
  22. Thank you. I hadn't heard about that but it'll make parts even cheaper. That's allways good.
  23. The parts are easy enough to get, just have to pay Honda a ton for them. On the positive side, most of the parts listed from the dealer are marked up about 40-75%. State Farm is going ot cut a check that will pay for everything, I just don't want to pay as much as the shop wants for the parts.
  24. The Honda guys didn't find the broken lower cowel stay but I can buy one for 6 bucks so wasn't worried about it. If you are correct and it's part of the oil pan, I'll have the estimate revised. Can't be that hard to do... I know, wishful thinking. I did tell them about the helmet and the answer is buy one and give us the reciept. I can live with that. I'll check the tabs, I'm thinking I'll have to replace at least part of that cluster but there was not direct impact on that area so I hope it's not a problem. Thanks for the advice.
