After scratching the rim in two places on a routine tire change, the owner, Frank Rider made a half hearted attempt to fix the problem, then refused to remount the tire, for fear he would scratch it again. I walked into his shop with a new wheel and a new tire. I end up with a half A%%ed powdercoated wheel that looks nothing like the original and the unmounted tire in hand.

Mineral spirits or what body shops call "paint degreaser" IMO acetone or brake cleaner is too harsh for paint. You can also try a high quality (like 3M, etc) very fine paint polish (super fine rubbing compound) Good luck.

Hello to All, I've been off the forum for a while, but now I've got this huge urge to ride my XX! So I'm back into it again, big time! Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere on the forum but a search turned up little info. I am interested in replacing my complete exhaust system on my '02 Bird, mainly to reduce weight and to get a a little more power. I plan to install a PCIII and a K&N air filter as well to get the most benefit. Was going to go titanium, like the low weight and the finish. I'm looking for a quality, well made system. I'm not interested in making a lot of noise! Just mellow deeper sound. Any suggestions on the best system to get? So far, I have looked at ( on the internet): Akropovic Micron Muzzy Yoshimura Ti-Force and can't get enough info to have any idea which one (or ones) are best. Any ideas? Thanks. mrdap
