  3. Pete is a great person even in real life :!: :!: His Bike is equally impressive. There seems to be something in the water over there, Jaws(John Smith) and Pete are both great people to deal with and run a very helpful and informative business that is an asset to the Blackbird community. I actually have a a funny story about Pete and I with his Blackbird.!! Last year Pete got a ticket going home from the Bash and he got out of the ticket with my help since I was in England at the time with a Florida License. Fortunately England does not report driving violations back to the USA All I know is my test ride on his BadAzz Blackbird was fun, fast and worth the points I got on my English Driving Record. Tho I don't really even remember riding it at all ????? I will have to find the video i have of Pete and Psycho Biker Ben riding 2-up together and both of them dragging their knees at the same time around corners !!
  4. +1 use the direct burial phone line, no weather problems. Go give my website address (www.m1urethane.com) to the skaters in your driveway.
  5. I bought one about 3 months ago since I was having a problem with moisture in the fuel causing the engine to miss fire at random. Never got around to installing it since it is located in the tank. It was cheap like about $9.00 I think so I will replace it the next time the tank comes off. Hopefully I got all the moisture out of the system now so no hurry to replace it. Do use OEM if you are going to replace it.
  6. seems I had the same problem and it turned out to be a bad radiator cap. Change the cap (cheap) when you flush and refill. My .02
  7. Yea !! After all Vern invented the 1/4" piece of elecrical tape placement on the bottom of the 1157 bulb contact for the Bird front clear signals fitment !!! He is a genius Everyone had been cutting wires prior  Vern has a very tight relationship with those electrons.
  8. What is the primary use of the cover ?? If you leave your Bird outside like I do then the best cover to have is not actually a cover but a small rigid tent. Get a "BikeBarn" ! they work perfectly never touch your bike and keep it well protected. Easy to use and very durable. I have had mine for 4 years now and looks like new. check it out : http://www.thebikebarn.net .
  9. It has to be something other than cookies. Click on "mark all topics read" and they do not clear either

    sprockets

Thier site is geared toward the Honda Cruisers. They own two fullline dealerships but the Directline parts business is only designed toward cruisers. If you know the part numbers that you want (obviously u do) then they will get them shipped directly to you from Honda. I buy alot of parts from them for the Bird. I now have them stocking CCT's and Vista Cruises for me since I move so many each month. They stock according to demand. They stock tons of chrome stuff for the VTX, and Wing !! I just like the 5% price guarantee over Ron Ayers and Service Honda. And the free shipping

Honda Directline guarantees a 5% best price
  12. Just Forget about it .....the side stand that is !!! Read above and check, clean & reconnect the grounds. This has happened to many many many ....... most all the time it is the ground connection somewhere. Mine was under the tank. Did someone say check the grounds yet ?? That would be my guess
  13. I put a rear 180 on 4 weeks ago but havE been out of town for two weeks so I only have about 500 miles so far. I will let you know the milage since it was highly recommended for FZR and XX use by a pretty reputable source. Went in to replace the rear with another Pilot Road that I get 7000 - 8000 on but was talked into trying the Power instead. I do alot of highway slab miles to and from work.
  14. Not the X11 Honda Part# 06140-MAT-315 green dot
  15. $34.00 shipped Priority Mail in the States
  16. Check to see if the rear axle has loosened up and moved forward hence slack chain. Might just have to properly adjust the chain back up and tighten the axle bolt and Ride away, hopefully.
  17. Find a new buddy or buy a new camera
  18. And because of a simple bulb change out too ??? Hope you got it straightened out and how does the new LED taillight look ? You have to get someone else to take your Bird for a spin so you can see the full effect as it's leaving you standind behind.
  19. Come on don't be telling lies !! You know the real reason you use bacon grease is so that it smells like a Harley Hog.
  20. I have the Honda Green Dot Part # 06140-MAT-315 That is what I send to England each month. I will sell them here at $30.00 + 3.85 Priority Mail in the USA. That is exactly what I sell them for, when shipping to England.
  21. I don't know the difference myself. I have been using the Green Dot USA version now for just over 20,000 miles and counting. Many have had a problem with their CCT and when replaced with the X-11 CCT the problem disappears. All I know is it is a 10 minute job to replace and only about 35-40 dollars at your local Honda Shop. I will change mine when it starts making noise if it does. Supposedly the CCT was modified on the 2003 models to which they started coming with a green dot on them. Whatever that means I don't know :?
  22. I just picked up 5 of the new Green Dot CCT's from Honda Directline today at lunch. Shipping them to England Tomorrow. Which I do once a month on average. Honda Directline keeps them in stock for me, since I buy so many. Funny how we buy the X-11 CCT from England and the Brit's buy the American CCT from the USA. :?
  23. Brett, Sent you an email. Seems they do make the Integrated taillight for the earlier model 97-98 but not the larger newer model. All in stock and readily available.
