  1. About what he said. I sold my 2002 about 2 years ago with about 3K miles for $6K with some extras. Of course it is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay.
  2. When I click on the black bird logo at the top left it takes me to a page showing a small icon. If I delete the ? appended to the end of the URL it takes me back tothe main page.

    New Horn

I just got one for the ST. Definitely supposed to get attention.
  4. Umm, learn to tell time. It was 10 hours before you did.
  5. He was actually referring to a post in a thread I started. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...p;hl=driverslog
  6. I am planning on doing the ST when I get it because of heat issues. Any recommendations for any of the coaters below? http://www.jet-hot.com/ http://www.airborncoatings.com/homepage.html http://www.performancecoatings.com/headercoatings.html I am leaning towards performance because of the Satin Dark Blue. They all seem to be the same quality wise; at least from what I can see.
  7. I have had the problem everyday since our last crash. Never got logged out before that last crash, but now do. I have cleared my cookies, logged back in telling it to remember me and later when I come back I am not logged in. I haven't changed anthing on my end for a while.

    02 white smoke

My guess is running rich. Too much fuel will produce white smoke, at least it did on mine after replacing the fuel pressure regulator and the excess gas had to burn off. Mine was an 02 and the diaphragm went in the regulator from sitting too much I guess. Perhaps a similar situation.
  9. Okay I won't shoot you but I would think this thread would be more appropriate in the for sale section instead of the garage.
  10. Fuel pressure regulator- diagphram is busted. About $50 at the local dealer, perhaps cheaper online. Mine went on my 2002 after I sold it and the new owner was on his way to pick up the bike. It is located under the tank on the right side at the end of the fuel rail. I can't remember exactly my steps in diagnosing it, but I seem to remember I took off the return line that goes back to tank (think that was the line). Turned key on (not starting the bike) and if I remember correctly there should not be any fuel coming out of that line since there isn't any vacuum. If fuel comes out, the regulator is bad. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
  11. I use the Mobil 1 M110 on my TRUCK and it is a great filter that I think fits Honda motorcycles. However, it may be just a little bit long and possibly hit the header on the XX. The Honda part number is 15410-MM9-013 and here is a reference for Honda alternative oil filters at the below site with the M110 mentioned. http://www.yft.org/tex_vfr/tech/oilfilter.htm I meant to add that I purchased a case of 6 off of this guy on Ebay smarge1978 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=8033264410 for about $7 each shipped. He shipped quickly and I will purchase from him again. He seems to carry all sizes of M1 filters.
  12. When my fuel pressure regulator went, the FI light did not come on, but gas came out of the exhaust. If you raise the tank and pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator with the key on, no fuel should come out the vacuum line.
  13. It is the plug and play one. Notice if you go to their site and look up our bike it comes back as the H3, not H7. When I ordered mine, I had to call them and tell them what I wanted, not the bike I had. It takes about 1 minute to install it if you are good at using your fingers in tight places. http://www.kisantech.com/view_product.php?...p?product=P115W

    Xenon bulbs

I thought I also remember some issues with the hi/lo switch not working/working well after a while.

    XX Fuel Mileage

Does he have a Powercommander? I remember a member from CA that leaned out a certain range on his map. That range coincided with his cruising RPM on the highway. Don't remember the exact increase, but he commuted over 100 a day and it made a difference. I get between 28 and 35 with a -1 countershaft sprocket.
  16. I had the same thoughts after reading the bottle but I stuck with the 50/50 with the measured amout of WW in it If I remeber right it has something to do with the lubrication in the antifreeze. Water Wetter alone doesn't do it. I think at one time there was a Water Wetter pro or extra or something like that which included lubrication. Personally I use Water Wetter, water and squeeze in a good dose of Astroglide. No, please don't try that. I used the 50/50 recommendation and the couple ounces of Water Wetter.
  17. Yes. Of course I took advantage of our "cool" summer weather to let it heat up. It took some fidgeting, but got it to come out pretty good. However, it is not a perfect fit. I have had mine for about two years and it hasn't torn yet.
  18. I have the Dowco, but haven't used it that much. fits like a glove and seems pretty durable.
  19. I changed the plugs on my Lumina at 69K and they were in bad shape. They are also a pain in the ass to change since you have to roll the engine forward.
  20. I use sperm whale oil, or do I use whale sperm? When I was in the local walmart a few weeks back I was looking for the "red" cap and didn't see any. Then I took a closer look at the labels and see that they have "grey" caps on the 15w50 bottles. Not sure if this is the start of what you are mentioning or just a screw up.
  21. If I remember on the Ohlins for ours, mine, there is no length adjustment. However, the manual that comes with it states you can adjust it, but it lies.
  22. That is the part that killed me also, but it is worth it in the long run.

    Tim's shop-PIC's

Am I imagining things, or are you putting this up very quick? Maybe I lost a few weeks somewhere. Looks good.
