  1. My breakfast: 3-egg omelet with chopped red, yellow and orange bell peppers and onion. A decent sized slice of tomato on the side. I have a coffee with French vanilla cream. I've been having this same breakfast for years.
  2. That is one great looking seat. Whoever fabricated that did an amazing job. The stitching really adds to it. Was the stitching your design?
  3. The stock seat seemed to push me forward, the Corbin Smuggler did not. The Corbin is fine except for long trips, like from Alaska to Arizona. I bought the large sheepskin Buttpad from Alaska Leather for my bike prior to that trip and the difference in comfort was amazing and it fit perfectly. I think it was this one: https://alaskaleather.com/collections/sheepskin-buttpads
  4. Any of you guys have one or recommend one? The Concept 2D is highly rated and you see those at the gym but they are on the expensive side, They seem more suited to commercial grade, a lot of use. The Concept 2 RowErg is a bit cheaper at $900 and is also highly rated. I've read some good reviews on the ProForm 750R The Sunny Health and Fitness magnetic rower is also well received and only costs $250 on sale. Any input would help.
  5. How has the rowing machine held up? I'm looking at getting one.
  6. I eat broccoli, brown rice, lots of berries and occasionally a bowl of cereal. Also granola bar pre-workout.
  7. The recommendation is to eat small meals about 5 times a day. That way your body doesn't go in to starvation mode and your body will burn fewer calories. Have protein bars, nuts, fruits, etc to fill in for eating every few hours.
  8. I just took my blood pressure an hour after watching Notte Dame lose to Cincinnati
  9. If you’ll notice everyone quantified their blood pressure but you. You stated your blood pressure was “well below normal” which I would be surprised you weren’t given a numeric value. In another thread discussing Vitamin D levels you stated: My levels are "off the charts" as my doctor jokes, but that's how he likes to see it. My point is you tend to respond in generalities with nothing to back up your statements. I really believe you could avoid a lot of conflict and criticism and people would take you more seriously if you were to post something in support of your comments regardless of topic.
  10. Mine is usually right around 120/80 but I was at the VA clinic yesterday for a sinus issue and it was 106/68. Blood oxygen level was 98%, heart rate was 62.
  11. The high salt content will definitely result in water retention. After my last physical my doctor recommended eliminating salt/sodium. My blood pressure was a bit elevated and she attributed all the salt in my diet as to a cause. After a few months of no salt diet my blood pressure was back to normal. I found that after that abstinence once I ate something with salt it seemed overly salty. I very seldom use salt now.
  12. I have been tested, tested low, and was told to take D3.
  13. I've been running clear bulbs with the clear lenses on my turn signals for at least 10 years now and never had an issue with police. When turned on they give off a yellowish-amber color.
  14. I like the look of the single seat, looks very sporty.
  15. I no longer have the repair bills for that bike, I gave them all to the new owner, but I don’t recall it being that expensive.
  16. Evidently. The shop I took the bike to here in AZ got new ones and installed them. They had to clean and rebuild the carbs, they were all gummed up from sitting. I can contact them and find out where they got them.
  17. Before I sold my other 97 XX in 2019 I had to have the carbs worked on, the best thing to do is order new boots. They do get quite stiff and brittle over time.

Ok, figured it out, you meant the windshield. I switched out the 4 bulbs to LEDs, what a difference!! Thanks for the write-up!! Did you change out the small bulbs too? I don't see the need so at this point I have left them alone.

How difficult is it to get the screen off? When you say screen what do you mean?

I really like the looks of the dash with the blue lights. How difficult was that to change out and do you have more info on the bulbs required?
  21. I wasn't sure what to ask for it. On one hand it's in great shape, on the other hand it's 23 years old. I'm guessing I underpriced it. It seemed from the comments I got here when I first mentioned selling it, I'd be lucky to get $3,000.
  22. Dammit!! i forgot to post the price. Anyway, just sold it. I was only asking $2,750. I should have asked for more. There was no argument on the price.
  23. 1997 Blackbird in amazing condition. This bike has only 25,150 miles. Always garaged. Upgrades include: Yoshimura stainless Slip-on exhaust, GIVI windscreen for better protection, Pyramid hugger rear fender and integrated chain guard, Corbin Smuggler seat, silver powder-coated wheels. VFR bars, LED rear taillight and turn signals, clear front turn signals, upgraded headlights, The carburetors were just serviced, rebuilt and rejetted by Adrenaline Performance. Like new Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires, recently replaced chain and air filter. It also comes with bike cover and stock seat. This is one of three Blackbirds that I own. I take immaculate care of my motorcycles.
  24. I rode the XX yesterday with the stock shock back in place, yeah, i could definitely tell a difference. The bike also seemed to sit a bit lower.
