  1. Sweet I will try to get some pics up I managed to get some decent ebay deals but come fall time I may send a piece or two your way for minor crack repair and repaint!
  2. Too funny, looking back at the way I made the heading I could totally agree with your logic Thanks to all, I will check everything out! For now I ordered the mirror stalk windscreen and did a fork realignment at my local shop. The bike is still rideable so until I figure out exactly what I am doing those are really all I need for now. BTW total for all that $170
  3. I realized after a little birdy told me that I did not mention what parts are damaged: The left lower fairing is far from repair, Honda replaceent painted and all 229.14 The right lower fairing is cracked but livable condition The upper fairing is livable but scratched to hell I do not know if it is repairable due o the deep scratches Honda replacement painted 365.59 The Alternator cover is deeply gouged and needs replacement Honda 79.77 Left Mirror got ripped off not to badly scratched but arm needs replacement Honda 24.39 Rear Fairing also scratched but I think repairable or at least sandable and repainted All the prices were off of Service Honda Any ideas on the scratched plastics how much body work can be done to them to make them look good
  4. I know since the site change I have not really been on much, just so crazy with things around the house and all. Thanks for the tip
  5. Howdy gang, after four fabulous years of owning the XX and having a pristine condition bike I had my first minor incident this morning. Guy was coming out of a stop sign did not see me coming he was in fact looking the other direction. I knew it was only a matter of minutes, hit the brakes, and dumped her doing about 25. Unfortunately the tires were still cold because I just got on and within half mile from my house it all occurred. Had the tires been warm I know I would have been able to stop and never have to worry about a thing at this moment. I had the sliders on her and when it ripped off it took the plastic with it. So now I am wondering where the best place to get replacement plastics would be? I know if I go to Honda they will rip them out of my ass before I have to pay for them too. I will try to get pics up later thanks a ton for your help!
  6. Like Randy I too am running with the Renegades/Mototeck, and I love them. I have yet to compare to the Migs.
  7. Unfortunately I am not pleased with them! I ordered a set of tires got only one on my door step. Called them up and they said they credited my card and noticed an extra charge for nothing. I told them I placed the order for front and rear tires and they said it must have been a pc error, fine no biggie. I was then told to order again online not with the rep on the phone? Not a problem, I ordered a the front tire and waited a week or so, nothing so I called again! They were shipping it out that day because they were backordered, I asked why they did not call and let me know at least or put something on the site. Again no biggie, I am a patient person. Another week later I get the tire, completely not the tire I ordered! Called again and they were cool about it. They covered the RA at no charge and a week later had the right tire. Took the bike and the tires to the local shop and they mounted it a week later. Just to keep you up to date it’s been about 4 weeks. Take the bike home and ride for about 200 miles or so to break them in nice and good. Put the bike away and noticed a bubble on the side wall! Call up again and they tell me there is no warranty on the tire and that once its mounted to the bike its my problem! If I want to I can send it to them at my cost for shipping and they send it to the manufacturer for review. If the manufacturer determines the wheel defective they will replace it otherwise I have to cover the cost to get it back if I want it. That sounds like the largest load of bull shit!
  8. Page 7 here we come
  9. "Dats wat I said Booty Traps!!" I know LASER is not microwave but I wonder just how bad the microwave detection would be uner the painted plastics. Obviously in plain sight would be the best solution with absolutely nothing blocking its collection device. Ever take one apart and look at the chambers and how it appears to funnel the microwaves to the tiny sensor inside?
  10. Just out of curiosity, the Radar detectors pick up Microwave signals produced by the various guns (excluding laser) right? If so then you could place it under the fairing and still pick up a signal, yes??? Just a question for ya guys?
  11. I have the Mototeck undertail and the stock fender (being the black plastic that holds the PC, license plate and factory tail do need to be trimmed back. Enough so the PC is still supported and the rear stub left in place to keep the pc from sliding back. If its not there its ok you can rig something to hold the PC down I am sure. But if the fender you are reffering to is the par that the seat itself touches ie. the painted part of the bike then you will need a replacement. Mototeck does not require any cutting of the painted part of the bike. Hope this helped!
  12. Read the website, very cool lenses. I am in too let us all know when the group deal begins!
