  1. Thanks for the feedback. I added a little more detail but don't be shy to e-mail me and I'm happy to answer any questions.
  2. Unfortunately after 12 years of owning my Bird I have to let it go. I'll be moving out of the country and it will not be feasible to bring the bike. 35,500 miles. Title in hand. SOLD! Comes with the following accessories: -> Givi Topcase -> Corbin gunfighter seat -> Stock seat -> Aftermarket undertail with LED taillights -> Micron slip-ons (they sound awesome) -> Handlebar raisers Tires have a bit of life left on them (a few thousand miles). No dents or cracks but there are some minor scratches on tank (no peeling) and the right side fairing has some scratches as well. They are only visible up close and are from tipping her over when I tried to clean her up one year. CCT has also been replaced. If interested e-mail me and I can send you some detailed pictures.
  3. yap same thing happened to mine - took bike apart thinking fan was busted until I realized it was just the fuse.
  4. I need to redo my brakes - so I'd be in if this was going to happen sometime soon.
  5. I have the 1st generation mototeck undertail - the one with the double taillights. I think it looks great, but the problem are the turn signals. You can just barely see them compared to stock. I alsways use handsignals now, so I don't get run over.
  6. very nice - how does she feel?
  7. on the topic of brakes - has anyone switched over to bigger rotors? any improvement?
  8. the galfer lines don't mess with the LBS or do they? :???:
  9. D207s wouldn't reccomend them, because I had Pirellis before liked them much better, but lacked in the rain I really want to try the Avons and the new Diablos
  10. I'll take her apart today and check for a leak or missing o-ring. I Just don't know how to simulate those speeds in my garage, because she doesn't seem to be leaking any oil at humane speeds.
  11. the right one - it spilled from where you fill in oil. it was all over the fairing. Seemed like the filler cap and dipstcik were tight. But I'll make sure and hope to find some source of oil leakage. Could it be a leaking gasket?
  12. that's what I don't know - and none of the guys who rode with me. A rider in the back said it looked like it was burning out of the tailpipes. All I know is, it produced some smoke and spilled on the ground after she cooled down. I limped her home but she didn't lose a single drop after I topped off the oil. Seems to be happening only at very elevated speeds.
  13. My XX started spilling her oil on me today. It only happens at very excessive speeds but then she's burning it off and spilling it all over the engine, tire, and my foot. When I ride her at sane speeds she keeps her juices inside. Not a drop at those speeds. Anybody had this happen before or know what this could be?
  14. until now I have always been able to just use my hand and get it out. try it before you buy it
  15. I like the Castrol GTX 10W40
