Hi everyone, I've acquired a 2000 FI CBR1100XX as part of a work deal. It has been standing outside for 2 years and is quite sun damaged. I've been working on it over the past few days, giving it a new battery and installed a new fuel pump too as the original unit wasn't priming. When i took it out of the tank it was clearly well knackered.
I'm very new to these bikes, I've had several R1's Ducatis GSXR's ect but I'm struggling with this beast. It's got fresh fuel, the pump primes when turned on and the starter turns the engine over, however there isn't the slightest hint of any ignition. Can anyone help with any ideas of what the problem could be? The FI light does go out, however the fuel gauge light flashes when turning the engine over. Any help would be so very gratefully appreciated .
