  1. Yep. Wait...You change your oil?
  2. JonXX

    Driven D3 grips?

I'm a pretty big fan of ProGrip, myself.
  3. Somebody on the .com did it and uses dirtbike bars. I can't remember who though.
  4. It's available at body shops and body shop supply houses. Or Google "invisible bra."
  5. Make your own bushing. Get a chunk of round stock (or tube) the right OD, run a die down the outside and bore the ID to the proper size and tap it. The machine shop that you're buddies with should be able to do it in about 20 minutes (or less) if you can't come up with the bits.
  6. OP, Check This for lots of "common info" items on the Bird.
  7. Roadsmarts in the spring, summer and fall, D616s in the winter.
  8. Agreed. There's one service guy at DFW Honda that even knows what an XX is, and that's because he has one. There's an XX expert at Cowboy down in Kyle, though.
  9. Cool, thanks Kinda what I was thinking
  10. Ok, I know FI front wheels won't go on a carbed bird, but what's the break year? This front wheel says 98-99 - shouldn't that be good for 97 as well?
  11. Correct. Damn, so many Harley things I have to unlearn
  12. Yep. When hot and sitting in traffic I'll hold the throttle around 2500 to move water and help keep the charging system from getting too far behind with the fan running.
  13. If you want to really mess with him, tell him an engine only needs 3 pounds to keep from scattering.
  14. I don't pickle anything that gets ran within months...Only years. But then, my shop is insulated and heated by (free) waste oil, so keeping it at a non-condensing temperature isn't a budgetary concern.
  15. I have to put new tires on it but right now i am just checking it over to make sure i want that one. OHHHH I didn't get it figured out that it's a prospective purchase, sorry. Yeah, that seems to be pretty normal. The FI Birds seem to run *a little* warmer than the carbed. I don't know the exact temp of my 97 (it has a cold-hot gauge) but it goes to the top half when running in non-moving traffic. Get into second gear and it drops back down to the bottom half right quick.
