  2. Mine idles uneven as well I believe it's out of sync throttle bodies. Right after I set the valves I'll add that in and see and perhaps?

    Valve Shims

I'll be doing the same soon, 60 some odd K Thanks for the info
  7. If there is fuel in the oil it can cause those symptoms, however shifting the gears wouldn't change anything. I would be more inclined to suspect an electrical problem or as mentioned, starter drive. Perhaps a number of starts and stops will loosen things up that may be sticking from lack of exercise. Above all check the oil!
  8. Somewhat off topic but about gas. One thing I have not understood is the price difference between grades. When I started driving gas was 17.9 cents for regular, ten cents more for mid grade and another ten cents for premium. With gas now at 3-4 dollars it's the same ten cents more each grade. Anyone know why? I know, older than dirt.

    GROUP BUY

"Oxygen Thief" Best laugh I've had in a while, Thanks. Pro oiler on the bird and it works -- well so well that the nicely polished rims look like they were tar splattered but the chain loves it. All the other chain bikes get Dunlop multi-lube and the rims stay "pretty". I have not yet noticed a significant difference in chain wear. I still haven't found where to oil the BMW. The "Busa" son put a similar bottle feed on his machine for a trip to the gulf, it stopped working part way and he went back to the tried and true spray can. PITA but it works.

    Steering Damper

Hyperpro photo I like the easy adjustment via the gold dial, easy thumb control. But really, I don't use it.

    Bent Forks?

Any idea how much force it takes to bend a fork? The only way to actually tell is to disassemble and check with v blocks but if the front bounces smoothly without any sticks it is probably fine. Check all fasteners. And trust that if it doesn't feel right, you may just be correct. Bearings come to mind.

    Shim question

Post shim I had my son the welder add a steel plate to the bottom of the side stand. Picked the bike up more and doesn't sink in the ground as much.

    Grip Adhesive?

And the hair spray is the absolute best fuel for your potato gun.
  14. Well -- the upside is that the bird won't need the repairs like the other things. And money is only money, easier replace and there is lots more money in the world than motorcycles.
  15. You know I found that stuff 2 yrs ago, and started using it. Early this yr I read an article about it and how much everyone loves it. I thought I was special but guess great minds think alike. I wonder how well it would work in a Pro-oiler?
  16. Were it not a "her" Zeus might work. Lightning bolt kind of thing Congrats on the lumens - everyone needs this mod. Maybe that would work -- Lumens
  17. Fine - never thought of blasting with soda-- latest thing in the log renovation business is blasting with dry ice, I have no idea how that works. Any idea where to get a compass/temp setup?
  18. nicely done - inspiring I've been thinking of doing a similar thing with a unit from a rearview mirror that has compass and temp. Have not taken the time to source the parts yet though. For me at my age it's more important to know which way I'm going, and in Montana it's important to know how soon the road will be ice again. I wonder about the remote signal from the Valentine One, maybe too far from the line of sight.
