  1. Sounds like it's for an electric range. For the cost of a GFI receptacle it's not a bad idea to have them everywhere in a kitchen or bathroom.
  2. Why don't you just use the "hide my email" feature? Once you get an answer or complete your business, deactivate the address.
  3. Damn, I've been using a 5 minute timer with my French press, I also use espresso roasted beans, I find the darker roast has more taste, but less caffeine.
  4. I liked the Bialetti when I thought it was Daffy Duck flipping the bird (in the thumbnail). In other news, my cuban friend brought me some cuban coffee. Not knowing any better I made my morning ~24oz coffee with it. Who needs meth?
  5. At least then you'll know where the lost socks are going.
  6. Heat pumps are the future. I’ll admit I have done zero research on them for drying clothes. Will the cold air be used to cool the house? What a great idea, less energy wasted. The idea popped up a few years ago for heating domestic water (it wasn’t well adopted) and it’s coming for hot water and steam. I remember seeing a “closet dryer” where you hang your wet clothes so no folding or ironing required I like the idea. Integration into a heat pump would be the future.
  7. I forget if your trailer is a stinger (they don't have any suspension YUCK) if it isn then sell it and get a real trailer. I've done this on a couple of bikes with absolutely zero problems. I've towed my bike to and from Gaspe about 1200 miles round trip on some very twisty and bumpy roads.
  8. Mmmm a motorized pocket door. I love pocket doors, but the wife hates them. Now it just needs HomeKit.
  9. My google (fine duckduckgo) -fu is not working. I'm trying to find a fan, preferably a tower fan with 180º of rotation. The catch is it can't be "smart" in any way: I'll be controlling it with a smart switch, so I just want the thing to start and stop. The only ones I can find have a remote and won't resume their last state when power comes back on. Currently I'm using this: The 80's called and they want their fan back, plus it only rotates about 90º.
  10. Ah, I get it now, sweet setup, I had googled festool and the info was that it's used for is to keep "dust" away from the machine operator. I like the vacuum attachment idea; much easier to use than clamps, but I still stand by my statement of leakage, it would be a PITA to have a project fall away from the "clamp" and be damaged because of a cheap or improperly installed fitting.
  11. This may or may not apply to your situation. Keep in mind that vacuum is backwards so pretty much everything you already know about tubing will also be backwards. Think if it as a coke bottle or beer can they can handle a positive pressure, but any negative pressure will make them collapse. It could be the same with your vacuum setup, and leak testing vac lines is a PITA. We use structured cable for a particular product, it's a fancy carbon fiber blah blah tubing. We had a sub contractor decide to save a few bucks by not using the recommended brand of John Guest (shark bite) fittings. It leaked all over the place, because the seals were meant for positive pressure like water supply to a fridge or ice maker. If you're just using a vacuum to remove air or gas from a space it shouldn't matter, but if you need precision don't fuck with it. Also in the second picture aren't those arrows on the fittings? Edit: aren't those hepa filters? If you're removing dangerous compounds from the work area then you want as much suction from the source and as little "line loss" as possible.
  12. It's been 15 years dude. I highly doubt it. but you never know?
  13. If anyone wants these, I can probably arrange for pickup in Kingston, to bring them to Montreal or Ottawa. If the seller won't ship to the USA (because it doubles the price) I can bring them across and send them from NY or CT, but most likely not until easter.
  14. Are you sure your security guard isn't just misinterpreting the term "device compliance" up here your license can be suspended for non compliance. They usually just check for a year. You bring in your SD card (probably done by internet now). This is for ALL drivers not just if you have a CDL. I mean you could just buy your own CPAP I guess, but the ministry of health pays for $700 of it, the trade off is now they know you have one.
  15. Woot seems to be selling amazon returns now, my robot vacuum was an amazon return, of course it didn't work properly so now it's also a woot return item.
  16. IKR? Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to put a flowery scent in something you put up your nose because you're allergic to things like.. FLOWERS!
  17. Make sure you don't get a generic, besides the fact that the generics smell flowery, they also give my wife a migraine, genuine nasonex doesn't.
  18. Try getting an Rx for Nasonex, it takes a few days to work. My pre cpap O2 levels were in the mid 60's the doctor was amazed I hadn't had a heart attack. When I went in for my first sleep test the tech said "go here get this machine, today, before you go home" Because of this my whole study was ass backwards, as I'd bought the machine before getting the Rx for it which came 2 days later as they rushed my second study "titration?" CPAP has been life changing for me ,I'm pretty sure I've got some brain damage from my O2 sats being so low, or maybe I'm just an idiot?
  19. I bought this on Kickstarter a few years ago, but I ended up selling the bird before I could install it, and gave it away. The shockwave was brutal, I honked it in the house, big mistake. WHAT?!? Edit: it would require wiring. https://screaming-banshee.com/
  20. The ipad was wifi, but it was a 3rd generation. I'm sure things have changed by now (hopefully for the better)
  21. @Nova Scotia Mike I'm not sure if this is still the case: I bought a used ipad from the USA (gen 3?) yes it was years ago, I couldn't get it to work with my Canadian apple ID. This may have changed, but my friends wife (american) can't seem to get her iphone X(something) to work with her Canadian apple id either. That being said, I don't like the woman enough to see if it's still an apple thing or just her.
  22. Damn, now I need to add another bike to my list "post ducati" sale.
  23. EDIT: I wrote this before reading all the comments and OP. As someone who lives in the north I'm no stranger to dry and chapped skin itchy as fuck also. A good moisturizer is the easy solution. I'm not a fan of humidifying because of all the possible issues. mold, scale buildup in the unit, but if it's causing medical or for that matter computer issues, then obviously, humidify, just buy a good automatic unit. Air conditioning is just a heat pump it's pumping heat from one place to another, as it's impossible to pump "cold" . The dehumidification is a byproduct of the cooler air being able to hold less water, causing the relative humidity to drop. Air temperature and humidity are related, google psychrometric chart if you're into that kind of detail (I'm NOT). It's probably why the same size A/C in Arizona might work better than the same one in mississippi, because the one in AZ isn't dealing with as much humidity and therefore less total heat assuming the temperature is the same and not 140 degrees. It's also the reason some idiot will say it's not the heat it's the humidity, because you feel it more when it's a damp heat.
