  1. They are the same color. Sorry, I meant "it's not" in response to your question "are they different?" 🙃
  2. It's not. If you recall, you helped me locate some plastics for it a few years ago through a Canadian dealership.
  3. I've been trying to talk myself into selling this for a couple of years now, ever since I bought an FJR in '17 and started riding it much more frequently. I do most of my riding commuting to/from work and the FJR is just more convenient for that. As such, this bike has mostly just sat for the last few years. I've started and ridden it a few times each season (enough to run a tank of gas through it at least) but mostly because I felt I needed to. So, I think it's time to let it go. 2000 XX, OEM Candy Phoenix Blue 50,603km on the odometer (31,443 miles). I purchased in 2014 with 28,123 miles. Oil changes & chain lube annually even though I haven't put many miles on it. Originally sold in Australia, the bike was imported to the US two owners ago (or so I was told). So, Candy Phoenix Blue is the correct color for this bike. As an AU bike, the odometer reads in km, as does the original speedo. I put overlay gauge faces on it that read in mph, but the original faces are underneath and unaltered. I have a couple of other windscreens that come with the bike. Jaws Crash Shrooms frame sliders (no fairing modifications necessary) Helibar bar risers RAM ball mount for phone/GPS/whatever 18-tooth front sprocket There are some blemishes here and there, most of which were poorly touched up by the previous owner. You don't see them from a distance but you'll see them up close. I've attached a few photos here but you'll find more in this album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BE65mpdQubsaw1ze8 I'm somewhat torn on selling and frankly not in a hurry, but I also haven't been watching the market for XXs. So, if I'm way off base with pricing this isn't an "I know what I have" situation, it's just me not knowing what it's worth. Let me know. Worst case, I decide it's not worth selling and hold onto it.
  4. I've had these on a shelf for years now, having sold my '96 F3 in favor of an XX over a decade ago. Anyone still have an F3 track bike or just want a little more clearance for leaving over? I have no idea what these are worth, but it probably comes down to what they're worth to someone else anyway. If interested, shoot me a PM and we'll work something out, I'm sure. -Bob
  5. Are you looking specifically for a paper version? If digital would work, send me a PM.
  6. Sounds like a plan. If you wanna PM me your #, we can work something out.
  7. I don't need this any longer and am cleaning out the garage. I'm not really interested in shipping, but if someone wants to pick it up in zip code 45044, come get it! There's some rash from me laying the bike down and some staining from an oil leak at some point. But, nothing's actually broken, so maybe it'd be useful to someone. Bob
  8. I still have my wrecked '02 and I should get rid of it. I'm probably going to sell the bluebird come spring anyway since I've been riding the FJR pretty much exclusively since I bought it. It's in the same shape it was a couple years ago after I wrecked it (and we traded PMs about it). It's sort of gridlocked in the shed right now, though... how big of a hurry are you in? I'm in SW Ohio, down near Cincinnati. It has an Ohio salvage title, though honestly there's no reason it couldn't be streetable. It'll start and run, though the stator cover has a hairline crack in it so it drips oil. I just parked it in the shed with a pan under it, but I can check on it if you're interested, top it off, and make sure all is well. I haven't scavenged much off of it other than brake rotors I don't think. I can check on that, too, since my memory isn't always 100%. ;-)
  9. I'm in no rush, but just want to make sure I didn't miss a PM or something on this. I can Paypal funds over whenever you want 'em.
  10. I'll take one, with headphones if you have a set still. I'll shoot you a PM...
  11. Looked at the parts bike tonight. It has aftermarket aluminum bar ends on it. Sorry, I thought it had oem ends on it. :-( I keep intending to install the Throttlemeister on my bike, which does have oem ends on it, but I don't think I'll be looking to part with my only set of oem ends. Sorry for the delay and for not remembering about the parts bike details. It's been a while since I've needed anything off of it so I haven't looked at it in a while!
  12. Crap! Sorry man, was prepping for a trip and totally forgot about this. If you're still looking for a set when I'm back in a week and a half, I'll find them and send those pics.
  13. Fair enough. I'll find 'em and snap some pics.
  14. I should have a set, but you lost me at "new condition". I'm sure mine are fairly beat up, scratched paint, etc. -Bob
  15. Yeah, JoWhee really came through in a big way helping me get the new plastics from up north.
  16. A good home, indeed. My wife's butt thanks you ahead of time for the improved comfort! Oh, and thanks for the opportunity for a test ride. Now, if the rain would just stop so I can ride it home ...
  17. You both make excellent points. I have been making at least some headway with the wife... I'm trying!
  18. Man I wish I could justify a second bike. That FJR is sweet and you're practically next door. Good luck!
  19. That sucks! When my '02 was totaled a couple of years ago, the buyback was under $500. I paid that in order to keep it for parts since I knew I'd replace it with another XX. I'll bet you'll find someone on here willing to buy it from you and cover a buyback in that range in order to part it out. Good luck ... and I'm sorry for your loss.
  20. I found these sitting on a shelf in the garage. I took them off several years back when I sold my '95 F3 since the buyer preferred the stock footpeg location. Anyone out there still taking an F3 to the track? I think $50 + shipping is fair (Paypal works for me), but if I'm way off base feel free to tell me why it isn't. -Bob
  21. On the indigo lighting kit... what year and what style? Do you have any photos? -Bob
  22. BTW, if you're looking for the other left inner cowl part, the part that wraps around the tank, mine has a hole drilled in it for the switch for my grip heaters. The part # for that part is 64320-MAT-000ZB. -Bob
