  1. It might have a little impact when stationary, but probably negligable. When moving I woudl think it makes no difference. If you are curious, remove the bottom fairing and go for a ride in traffic and see if it makes any substantial difference to the temps. If it does, maybe pursue your idea. But Blackbirds run hot. They all do and it has no effect on reliability - so why bother?
  2. I was told that polish on the titanium will cause staining or discoloration if your not careful, so I have never tried any type of polish just in case....They come up so clean with the WD40 that I don't feel the need to try anything else.
  3. I use WD40 on mine. Come up looking like new, oil just wipes off.
  4. I found I had more luck using "lowering straps" into Google.
  5. Did a bit of a Google on this and didn't really get anywhere. Anyone know of some sites where I can order front fork straps for the Bird? Looking for that extra tenth.......

    WD-40

Plus 1 for the WD40 users!
  7. I don't think you need one on the bird personally. The Bird is super steady 99% of the time. The only time have have had head shake issues was when I had a 60 profile front tyre combined with the 6mm shim. Went back to the standard profile front tyre and it is fine now.
