OK, since I sold of my Blackbird, I still had a couple of items sitting around. #1: A set of Dave Strom Footpeg lowering brackets for the Blackbird. Essentially brand new in the box, and never installed. How does $50 sound shipped to you. #2 A tinted windshield that fits the Blackbird. Has the "Double Bubble", but I cannot confirm who the manufacturer is, as there are no markings to ID. Windshield was on my 1998 Bird when I purchased the bike. There is no damage or major scratches. How does another $50 sound. If I am way off on my prices, don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer. I would be willing to do a package offer which would reduce my shipping costs. Yeah, they switch over by mid October. Why such crappy milage out of the Birds? I got around 42 out of my old FJR1300.

Yes, that is the same with my Blackbird. Temp guage on the freeway runs about 1/8 up from cold. And yes, my milage is around 35 to 38 mpg. Not very good...

OK, so I am new to the Blackbird. Overall, I love the bike, but one thing is bothering me. Although it has been cool around here (and getting cooler), as hard as I try, the temp guage needle on my BB only goes up at most 1/4 of the way. Is this normal? Pete

I liked the Yoshi's but the carbs were not re-jetted to match the pipes. It was easier to go back to stock than mess with the carbs. Besides I am not any smarter than the Honda engineers who figured this shit out...

Not to kill any potential sales, but there's no way you can know that after one "real" ride. Get used to the bike before you spend money fixing shit that might not be broke. What was your last bike? My last bike was an FJR. I did spend 45 miles on the XX the other day. My impressions were great bike, really well planted, tough ergos on my 47 year old frame. I do keep in mind that I just walked away from a head on crash with a deer wwhich totaled out my FJR, and I am still sore all over... I do think I would like to relax the ergos a bit. Pete
