  1. I bought this Bandit 1250s in 2008 brand new. I hurt my back two weeks after I bought it and couldn't ride. Since then I have also injured my shoulder. I hate to get rid of it but it would be better for someone to enjoy it than for it to just sit. I keep the battery charged with a tender and try to ride it close to home to keep it moving. The bike has the following add-ons: Custom padding in the drivers seat from Spencers seat mods, Givi v46 top case and custom windscreen. The original windscreen will be provided as well. The has only 1021 miles on it and had it first oil change at the dealer at 600 miles. This bike is in excellent condition and has never been dropped. There is a crack on inside of the front fender where stone kicked up and hit it. The fender is still on and there are NO other scratches or dents on this bike. I owe $5800 but I will sell sell on the forum for $5600. That's my bottom line so please understand that this a great deal and the price is $5600. My cell is 863-398-6243 only serious inquiries please and NO rides.
  2. This is a serial interface power commander II that I pulled off of my 1999 bird. I believe its for 1999-2001 blackbirds. It worked well when it was on my bike. $50.00 plus shipping. If your interested email me at bigv316@ymail.com
  3. Hey Baldshark Is the topcase still for sale? I tried sending a pm but I don't think it went through. Thanks
  4. Hey guys, thanks for the posts. I have already done the wiring loom fix and it still dies. I have a new kill switch coming so as soon as it gets here I will see if that takes care of it. I have been through the mill with this bike but I still have hope.
  5. How can you tell if your pulse generator is going bad? If you read some of my posts you will see that I picked up a 99 bird last November and have had problems since day one. My bike will die then in a couple of minutes be fine and may not die again for day's. I have been told that it might be the pulse generator but if it was would it go out all at one time or is it normal for it to get worse over time? With my bike the fi light comes on and stays on. I have tried to retrieve error codes but there dosen't seem to be any.
  6. All right let me answer one question at a time. 1) I have the battery tested but I want to test it again. 2) The horn sounds weak if the revs are low. Thats when the bike wants to stall. If the revs are hi the horn sounds strong. 3) High beams - nothing changes 4) If the revs are high everything is fine 5) Guages are fine
  7. Hi Guys Alright I did the loom fix and rode on Saturday. The FI light never came on but I hit the horn at around 35 MPH and the bike still wants to stall. I think I am going to check the battery and the charging system today. That about where I'm at. I have not had time to ride so I still can't say for sure if the loom fix worked. I'll keep you posted.
  8. Thanks for looking out for me beondwacko. My bike is a 1999. The one on ebay is for the 97-98 without FI. If you find one for mine let me know Thanks again
  9. Hey rocketmeupto125 thanks for the help. I was able to do the repairs today and take her out for ride. So far so good. It still will want to cut out if your running at aroend 35mph and hit your horn. Other than that she ran fine. Thats not to say that tomorrow she won't shut down on me again. But for now I'm happy. Thanks again.
  10. Does anyone know a good way to lift out the wiring harness. I am having to redo the wiring loom fix because my mechanic didn't follow instructions even though I sent him the wiring loom fix from this site. I now need to pull out that section of the wiring harness where the loom used to be so that I can have more room to finish it properly. Does anyone have an idea as to the best way to pull it out. I have the shop manual but it does not address the harness seperatly. Any help would be great. Thanks
  11. Sorry for taking sooo long to post a reply. I have been dealing with some business problems and have been tied up. I did have the wiring loom fixed but that has not helped. I have noticed that it is taking longer for the bike to restart after it dies. It used to just take a few seconds during wich I would try everything from the kill switch to the battery cables and then it would start. The last time I had the bike out I put the battery charger on it the night before and with in about 5 miles it died and took 10 minutes to finaly start back up. I thought before that maybe the kill switch had something to do with it but now I am not so sure. There are so many things that could be bad I don't want to start replacing things just to find out that I am just wasting money. Thanks for the help
  12. I thought I checked all of the fuses but I will check again in the morning. I looked over the wiring diagram but I can't tell if that block uses a common ground or a seperate ground to the frame. Thanks Big-V316
  13. I was just outside working on it when I realized that I had no brake light when I pulled the front brake. I never noticed since I always use both breaks when I stop. I tried a volt meter on the break light switch wires and no current came through. Is there a way to test the switch box that the break light wire go into? Also is there a way to check the kill switch. Thanks Big-V316
  14. The other odd thing is when it does stall if you flip the kill switch on and off it starts up. Big-V
