  1. Ordered new Metzeler Z6 @about 2:00 pm. Package was allready on the freakin FedEx truck @ 5:41pm and arrived @ fedex terminal @ 8:00pm. ALL TODAY. This is silly fast service Oh and the rear Z6 cost $142.00 OTD www.SportTour.com And to think i allmost bought from the stealer.. jeeesh
  2. Well concidering what iv been learning here i guess the Z4 is out of the question now. I'm a big metzeler fan since i tried my first set of m1's but seeking a durability factor like their Z6, and i am being seduced by thr road 2's dual compound. I 'm gonna buy tonight and don't know what the hell to choose. oohh the agony And then there were two... :icon_think: Pilot Road ^2 vs The Z6 Thanks again for the replies guys NEVERMIND/ According to stealer, New Michelin Pilot Road2 not available in USA til Late fall 07 just europe for now soo Z6 here i come.
  3. This is the one i saw on metzeler.com btw, I got the feeling from the description on the site that this was a sportier sport-touring tire than the Z6 but i guess thats incorect. tnx for the info redbird
  4. M1 rear gotta go, looking for something more durable but concerned about the Z6's repution for being hard/slippery in cold weather. Any truth to this and how about Z4 rear?
  5. I dropped 1 in front, two up in rear.....Prepare to do half of the quarter mile on a pogo stick. BTW I have a Sprocket Specialists aluminum rear with litening holes that has held up fine for 5k. FWIW
  6. This sounds to me like your clutch isn't fully disengaging? I have the same problem and believe it's caused by an air leak (bubbles) i have in my clutch line (exact location of leak not sure yet). But i allready know i have an air leak; whens the last time you blead your clutch fluid? FWIW
  7. Hot gas is greater in volume than the same quantity of gas cold, and increasing the volume would make it move quicker (like a teakettle's whistle)but not evacuate the chamber quicker. Depends wether the coefficient of expansion is or isn't greater than the coefficient of flow. duz that make sense? But like you said, that should just gain you looks.
  8. No prob, and BTW just did front axle and bearings and guess what .... . . . . . . yep, no change. So, on with computrack and stem check/replacement.Stems aint cheap either damnit. Will post. the Fuct
  9. Pretty pathetic if u think about, Not shure if i even registered on the speedo?
  10. Anyone know about or used Computracks services?$$$?
  11. Goddamnit i never even concidered that and i just did my fecking head bearings. you know what, i just towedmy bike a ways and noticed the wheel seemed a little crooked (not plumb) as compared to the rest of the front, and since i found the forks to be straight then you gotta be right. I'm gonna call computrack for an estimate on measuring, then look into this stem idea closer. Thanks alot for the help.
  12. Yes there is matter of fact, right down the street lol... lucky me. thanks.
  13. I layed down the bird few years doing (15mph over sand) has tracked crooked ever since. simple enough. I have removed and rolled the forks on glass plate and found no bend to speak of, reinstalled carefully after head bearing replacement. no change. i installed new front wheel bearings, still crooked. Now the manual and common knowledge leads me to the smingarm (i feel speed was too slow for bent frame but i am often wrong), but how do i udjust check swingarm? And before you ask about rear axle alignment, i rechecked many times and the only thing that has worked at all (for test purposes) was angling the rear axle slightly towards the left which inturn slightly straightens things but seems to be foolhardy when concidering it as a solution. Any ideas? help appreciated. thanx the Fuct
  14. Sounds like a fuel vapor vent for the tank. But, your from cali so that vent should go to a canister. Cali model?
  15. Only one bird i know of has boiled over completely, and that is My 99. Standstill traffic 95F wind from behind. I'v never heard of another bird boiling over elsewhere.
  16. Due to my recent crack addiction i'm selling my bird for a large coke, large fry, and a double burger.... with cheese muthafuckah!
  17. Ahh couldn't wait till winter.lol I'm the same way. So, the the race that slides down the stem on top of the seal won't slide down? I remember mine making it 3/4 of the way down by hand, then an easy press/pull with a inverted three jaw. This doesn'y sound so good my friend. :? do i have this right?
  18. :lmao: I'm dissapointed in you, you forgot the BLUE TARP on the car. PAVE EVERYTHING!
  19. Yeah, I totally need to get something planted... I'm thinking some perennial grass or something the whole way up. Yeah that would be better than blasting it with mulch like everyone seems to do. Allthough i don't know much about horticulture and species selection, I did learn from many landscape architects that, when planting seperate flowers bushes etc... you should organise them in 3's or nonsymetrical triangles to make them seem natural and lessuniform. The golden rule; never more than two plants in one single eye shot. FWIW  http://www.naturehills.com/new/product/Perennials.aspx (extended blume) Ok i'm feeling pretty gay nowlol need beer... and sex with wife, uggh ugh.
  20. Very classy looking compared to the rotted rr ties. Nice neat lines, and i like the look of those blocks. Now get some shrubbery in that bitch.
  21. +1 Correct me if i'm wrong but clutchless shifting (incorrectly) would cause damage to the dogs and or forks?

    wax unit

I have bought the wax rebuild kit , and yes it can be removed/seperated at the casting joist. The problem is is that it has three philips head screws that must be made of fecking aluminium lol because they strip like a financialy deprived coed. I'm still concidering wether or not to drill the screws, and most likely wont. They don't wanna move using the perfect size philips. If your coolent has not been deprived at all, and your bird has never puked, i'd be suprized too see this unit malfunction. IMHO
  23. Due to recent repairs i've held off on cosmetics, so no i'm not sure of the fit. But good thing i've noticed is they are never on ebay, might mean something. ?
  24. Check out CarboTech on your search. Made in Germany out of Real Carbon Fiber (not carbo look), If that's the type of cover you are looking for. They make a real Carbo Hugger for the XX too 8) . Good Luck
