  1. hey we use to live in Ft.lauderdale.

    GO BUCKS!!!!!

  2. The bike: '00 F4 (600cc with carbs if you don't know) with 40K miles The rider: novice with limited practical mechanical knowledge The problem: I was out cruising the slabs of FL (stop and go type stuff). The fuel light came on. I stopped within a couple miles, filled it up, and got back out on the road with no hanging around. Not more than a couple miles down the road I was leaving a light and I thought I had launched in second gear--the engine bogged, I slipped the clutch and I was under way. About 30 seconds later, it started to sputter at speed and then stalled. The battery seemed to have plenty of juice to crank the starter, but it wouldn't fire. Choke was not engaged. After the bike cooled down (a.k.a. after a ride in the back of a pick-up with HD riders looking at me as they passed ), it started and ran as well as ever and I rode it around the block. I parked it to consult with people with actual experience and haven't ridden it since. Any suggestions on the problem? Thanks in advance. Dave
