  1. Hmmmmmm,,,, I wonder if its gong to be the 8 or 10 cylinder version. GLWS sir & enjoy when the new whip arrives.
  2. I took the big girl out for a spin yesterday. About 35-40 miles. It's been 4.5 months since I've ridden it and I was easy on the throttle but one time when I gave it about 75% twist up to 8,500 rpm. Holy shineola,,,,, I forgot how strongly this thing pulls. So, it's still for sale and I'm in no rush to dump it or let it go for less than I'm asking. It's a lotta' fun for sure.
  3. Shipping companys make everything closer. BTW,,,, the mileage is 9560 as of this last weekend.
  4. Just putting out a little feeler on my 08' ZX-14. It's atomic silver, has just under 10K miles and comes with the following mods. 2 owner bike that I have had for just shy of 5 years. Clear title and clean overall. The bike dyno'd 183hp/112 tq when originally mapped. Debadged Hindle / Brocks full exhaust ( stainless steel / Titanium) Mapped PCIII Dynojet Quick shifter 3 position lowering link Brocks front caliper brackets & strap. PAIR system eliminated BMC race filter Standard profile smoked wind screen DDM 55W X 4 HID's 5K temp on high and low beams Lanyard killswitch with billet bracket and aux rockerswitch LED's in both front and rear turn signals Pit bull rear stand & no name front stand Rear fender eliminator Shorai lithium-ion full size battery less than 1 year old. Frame sliders GenMar 1" risers 16/40 gearing (17/41 stock and those come with the bike) Repsol full synthetic oil used since 2600 miles old. Pilot Road II tires, front 70% left, rear about 30% left. Antifreeze replaced last year with water wetter added. Full factory exhaust included like new as is rear fender and belly pan and stock screen. The only real flaw I can think of is a small stress crack on the upper fairing between the right side headlight and windscreen. The crack doen't extend fully to either, it just sits kinda in the middle. It's been this way for 4+ years and has not gotten any worse. There are a couple of little chips on the front fender as well. I will email new pics apon request. The reason for selling is simply that I just don't hardly ride anymore. The last time the bike was out was 9/28/13. I'm in no rush to sell this great bike, but if someone was interested in it who could give it a better home, who knows. $6800-
  5. Damm. I need new gear, but the sizes don't jive. The pants might work (they are a little large) but the boots are a whole size too small. Let me know if you can't move the pants, I may be interested. Hit me with an email (beondwacko@yahoo).
  6. I'm thinking along different lines here. A little out of left field but, any chance the motor is hydro locked ? Also, when you go to crank it, do all electrics go out while trying to crank? Lastly, is the "clunk" a heavy sounding very metallic dealeo or more of a "click" sound? I'm wondering about the starter relay and then the starter solenoid.
  7. Was the dead raccoon to be sold too or am I late on that one! Good luck with the sale(s).
  8. I'd be all over this if only I had the space. Best of luck with the sale. I wish I could buy it.
  9. Hey Hank, Any ZX-14 parts? Looking for a double bubble Puig brand screen, shortened side stand.
  10. It looks like he only put about 9K miles on it in 4+ years. He also put the stock exhaust back on, changed the gearing, put a gear indicator on, changed the wind screen, put mirror extenders on, but he forgot to mention that the fork springs had been changed to 1KG progressive and the oil weight had been changed too. At that price, it's decent but there are a couple of flaws(cosmetic) that I saw. The rear cowling has a crack in it from him, and that was all I could see from the pics. That bike ran GREAT and I miss it a little bit now and then. BTW, that bike orig' came from Long Island.
  11. Well I can tell you this, His name is Mike, and he lives in Helena Montana. He's very tall and skinny like 6'4" & 160 lbs. He's got or he had some health issues, and this was his first motorcycle. I doubt he ever made it to Nexxt. He was initially very active on the .com forum, but almost nothing here.
  12. I wonder if that's my old bike. It did get shipped out there. I just looked at that Craigslist ad and WHOLY SHIT !!!! That's my old bike!!!!!! I'd jump on that one.
  13. Joe, What solution did you come to?
  14. This is going to sound funny, but why not something LED? They don't care about a/c - d/c current, they don't draw much current, handle vibration well. Find a housing that takes a MR-16 lamp that supports the lamp by the head of it and not the socket, then drop $20 at homo depot for one of their own brand 4 watt LED MR-16 lamps. They kick out 295 lumens at about 3K kelvin. Good bulb. There are many other LED MR-16's out there too that produce a good punch of light as well but the challenge will be to find a suitable housing. If you are creative, you can make your own housing too. just an idea.
