I'm decorating my new home and need several beat-to-shit leather motorcycle jackets to hang on the walls (yes, I'm single). The ideal jacket will have extreme road rash, parts forcibly removed, blood stains, and smell like gas, oil and/or burnt rubber. I'll pay extra for Bates or Vanson jackets. Asking $12,250. This motorcycle was purchased new in October 2009 from Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg VA, for just over $15K. Current mileage is 109 miles; it truly is in new condition. Circumstances have changed, so the motorcyle is being sold. As you would expect for such a new bike, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this motorcycle, no scratches, no dents, no issues whatsoever. It has never been wrecked, never dropped, never abused, not modified (except some add ons, see below). I have every document that was sold with the motorcycle, which will be transferred to the buyer. For Sale: 1996 Honda CBR600F3 7,3xx miles. Clean Title, Street Legal, Track Ready, Lots of Extras $1650 Background: I bought this bike at an insurance auction as a theft recovery. It has a clean title, in my name, and a current Virginia registration. There are no problems with the legality of the title or registration. I've used for two track days. I can't blame you for thinking that, but no, just busy with other crap. Anyhow, I do have some progress to report. I finally finished mudding and sanding the entertainment center. Here it is primed and painted. The next step will be adding hardwood shelves and trim. Finished mudding and sanding the bar as well. Also installed the tile floor and built the inside cabinets. Countertops will be done next. Drywall, paint and tile are done. Installing baseboards and fixtures will be next. In the bathroom, my wife has gotten a little ahead of herself and put up decorations.

Socialist! Who do think that money is coming from? Rich taxpayers, that's who. It might not matter, but you installed the backer board 90 degrees off. The taped, recessed edges of the sheets should butt against each other to make a horizontal joint. The recessed edges are to accommodate the mesh tape and mortar. Otherwise there will be a bulge when you tape/mortar the joints. And if you install the backer board horizontally you would have had much few joints. Lots of joints, Horizontal joints not recessed, creates bulges when taped/mortared. Compare that to this installation:

If you install them backwards, the sound you describe will happen. Ask me how I know. This is pretty much what RedBird is saying.

Here's a couple items I remember from my racetech installation: 1. Use 1000 then 2000 grit sandpaper to polish the damper rod. 2. Polish the valve faces with 2000 grit sandpaper. This helps ensure a nice, tight seal against the shims 3. Use a steel washer on the top of the spacer, this prevents the steel spacer from digging into the aluminum fork cap, which results in tiny aluminum shavings in the fork oil. Ever notice how used fork oil looks like it contains metal flakes? 4. If cutting the spacer, use a tube cutter. This makes nice square cuts. 5. You'll need a #54 drill bit to drill a hole in one of the valve orifices. I think that's the right size. 6. Fork oil weights differ substantially by manufacture. Not too long ago, I think BADZ_XX posted a link to good article about this.

Probably not. If I put a remanufactured engine in the truck, I'd have ~ $2200 in it. For that much, I could probably buy a running 97 F150. So if I do this, I'd get a used engine, or rebuild it myself. Either way is several weekends of work and several hundred dollars.. Hmmmm.......
