    Cruiser

Well, yea, definitely used. He said around 5, so I take that as he'll talk the old lady into 6..LOL

    Cruiser

I got a buddy that is looking for a cruiser. He wants to spend around 5K. The only cruiser I ever had was a Vmax. Other than that it's been XX's and ZX11's for the most part. Anyone have any certain bikes they like?
  4. Green/Yellow is your brake light. Black is your tail/running lights. Green is ground.
  5. Did the back wheel this afternoon. Was really easy. That stripper took it right off. The stuff for the paint removal worked well too
  6. I should know better than to plant a seed like that with you lurking around...LOL
  7. Thanks for the advice Dave. I'm gonna get crackin....
  8. I would like to polish the outside lip of my rims and leave the center inserts (Spokes) black. Does anyone know of a good stripper that will work well in removing the paint or powder coat from the stock wheels?
  9. +1 on the Scorpions. I have them on mine and they sound awesome. Although, you won't go wrong with the 2 Bros either. I guess it's all in what you want. I have the GP style Scorps on mine.
  10. Byrd, I don't know you or your bike like most of these guys seem to, but I have to say I am THOROUGHLY impressed. That is a keeper if I have ever ran across one. Very nicely put together and thought out!!! Nice job!! Sure you wanna let it go?????? Search all options before selling!!!
  11. +1 on the Stebel. Awesome horns!! Best horn you'll buy IMHO.
  12. If you have exhaust and other mods, you can have the carbs re-jetted and the bike dyno tuned.
  13. I have daves pegs on my '99. They're great. They don't look like much of a difference when you install them, but it's definitely better riding.
  14. What To Look Out For.... People in front of you. A quick twist of the throttle and they seem to get closer to you very quickly... You'll definitely enjoy the bike. I had a ZX-11 before my XX. I liked the ZX a lot, don't get me wrong, but the XX is a nicer bike. It's a 99, first year for FI, and has very smooth power. I ended up going with the Scorpion exhaust for it. I recommend it for sure. Great sound. Some other mods I have done, Zero Gravity DB windscreen, White faced indiglo gauges, integrated taillight, and HID headlight.
  15. I would use the electronic flasher. You can use any bulbs you want with it, no splicing of wires, unplug one, plug in the new. Done. I have an integrated on my XX with an electronic flasher and it works great.
  16. Thanks for all the replies guys. That helps. I was thinking of gearing down a bit. I was going to go up 1-2 teeth on the rear, and leave the 17 front the same. Maybe I'll stay stock though, considering a Dbl X really has no acceleration problems to begin with
  17. I want to change my chain and sprockets. It's about that time I think. Anyone know if these are good pieces? Stealth
  18. I have looked at these in the past, but I still question their safety as far as holding up. Anyone have some input on these??
  19. +1 on the Honda Shine! For a full detail, look into Zaino products. Read his site and how to apply. You won't be disappointed.
  20. I agree. You definitely do not need no 10 or 12" extension. Even 8....I had a Suzuki RF900 that I did some headwork to, cams, carbs, and dynoed. I did a 3" extension, and could do NOTHING to get the front end up. It was plenty for sure.
  21. Shipped on Tues, received on Wed!! Nice! Looks good Dave, brand new like you stated, not a mark on it.
