  1. I tried to make a poll and no matter how I tried, I got this message:

Something went wrong. Check the values provided on the marked tabs and try again.

It really doesn't matter so don't spend time on it but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

Have you tried green things roasted/sauteed and not steamed in any way?  I thought I hated green things, then learned, not long ago, that it was just steaming that caused the awful flavor.  This includes frozen veggies which are all par-boiled.  Even just putting a lid on cooking green things causes enough steam for me to dislike them.

I don't get this; he said "mitigated" and never "an easy full fix."  Eating plant based mitigated my joint pain and prevented surgery.

I have not put the effort in preparing and cooking greens you do and I can see with the right cooking and spices could make it better.

There may be a day I'll jump on the rabbit train but not today.  As far as joint pain, weight plays huge part in it.  Most of my life I lifted weights and was big but as I aged I started to have joint issues.  My hips got to a point where it was hard to walk around in the store.  In 2008 I decided I had to do something and lost 65 lbs., the the difference was amazing.  Joint pains all gone.

Yes, you are correct, I phrased it wrong.

The top three killers in the US, plus one of the most dreaded, are mitigated - sometimes into statistically irrelevant ranges - on a plant-based diet.

While I fully agree that diet and exercise plays a major role, I disagree it is as simple as that.  Hereditary also plays a major role as can be proved by super healthy people still getting cancer or passing of other causes.  Speaker of quality of life, eating a total plant based diet would lower that for me to an unacceptable level as I dislike anything green.  Note I didn't say I didn't eat them but it is by force of will.  But who knows, Carlos used to known as the meat man here. 😀

With stinky vehicles in the past I've found that just a few inches of exhaust extension can make a huge difference.

2 or 3 inches can also make a big difference in exhaust sound in the vehicle.

  5. Looks great.  Now I wonder if you will enjoy riding it?  When I had a itch to buy a 72 CL-350 it was cool finding parts to make it look and function better but I hated riding it.  So it sat until I sold it to a guy that already had like five of them.

People with diabetes are more susceptible to the buildup of cholesterol AND statistically more likely to have high cholesterol.  Meta studies show a clear correlation between cardiac events in people with diabetes and heart issues who eat a lot of eggs.

    Thanks, didn't know.

This slips into place easily now.  Amazing that it went from hard plastic back to squishy rubber.  The other boot was half off and one side was compressed between the airbox and carb for god knows how long, that one's still a little tough in that area.  Since the ends were being pressed toward each other that area probably got thicker.  I could probably force it on, but I'll leave it in for another day to see what it does.

If you keep it, I'd be interested to see if it stays soft or rehardens.

Portion control was the answer from many people pushing various diets.  I've never bought into it.  And the evidence is more and more obvious that this is not the answer.

It doesn't work for me over the long run but may vary for different people.  I'm a all or nothing type, haven't had a slice of bread since 2008.

You have to do what works for you meaning your body chemistry and mental workings.

  9. I have direct burial cable going out to the garage that I hand dug a trench and covered up, no sand or boards about 38 years ago and the lights are still on.  At this point in your life, easy may be the best.

My wife is watching Gotham Garage (Car Masters, rust to riches)

They built a Tesla withe a mega carb'd 383CID. They made a cheezy hole in the hood.... etcetera

They ran the drive-shaft inside the car instead of making a tunnel and running it outside. I'm pretty sure they are generally run outside for safety.

I've twisted a pinion off the rear end, a long time ago. You don'want a drive shaft flopping around in the interior of a automobile cabin.

    ....so, here are my questions.

    1. What is the operating temperature of a universal joint operating under normal circumstances mounted outside? I think "barely warm to the touch?"

    2. Would mounting them inside allow less cooling and make them heat up? (I don't think it would change much)

    opinions?

That show sounds pretty lame.  I tend to stick with Engine Masters, Roadkill Garage, Road Worthy Rescues, etc.  I can enjoy some of the restoration shows on MotorTrend but the super high dollar builds don't fit into my reality.

I will say that AAA dispatch has been fucked up a few times, and some of their contractors are fucking 'tards, but it's usually good.

My neighbor work as a flat bed driver for AAA.  Wouldn't want him touching my car.

I’ve not seen a AAA office in ages, and as often as I’ve needed roadside assistance, they would have to be more prompt to justify the $$$.  Around here, that’s not the case.

Me either.  There was one here about 30 years ago but no more.
