  1. Never had a lick of trouble with my carbs and I don't get those silly F.I. lights either.
  2. I know that they use them in big trucks but I don't know about bikes. Let us know how they work out.
  3. For those of you with polished aluminum wheels and other parts, do you wax them or not? Sometimes, I think it makes the shine duller but I'm not sure.
  4. Many people are myself included. It just looks right.
  5. I took it for a ride today. They feel much better to me. I had my riding boots on, they might not be so good with work type cleatted boots though. It was nice out today.
  6. Not sure, by the time I was done messing around, it was midnight and raining.
  7. I wanted to lower my pegs for my knees but didn't want the pegs to be lower to the ground for riding. Seeing how the buell pegs do not have rubber on them, I thought I would try the XX pegs without rubber. I cut out aluminum plate and bolted it on with alittle lock-tight. I did not change the peg at all so if I don't like it, two bolts, and the rubber is back on. It is now 1/2 inch lower. I didn't try it yet. What do you think?
  8. Not me. I was peening the rivet. On the second rivet just when I got to where it should be, SNAP!!! The link was perfect but that was the first and only time that it was used. They did replace the broken part though.
  9. Is there any scientific data that I could read on this?
  10. Here is some sprockets also:http://secure.mycart.net/catalogs/catalog.asp?prodid=2317931&showprevnext=1
  11. Without a doubt, the 18 front is the cheapest way and if you don't like it, you are only out about $30. Why the worry about the correct speed. I rarely even look at mine.
  12. Only FI bikes have ram air. I don't understand, if your bike runs better with the flow of air blocked off, why would you want to ram air into the air box by putting in air ducts?
  13. I guess that I was using the wrong stuff because I put alot more work into it. It seemed that after the black paint, there was a white coating of something that was really hard to get off fully. After I got it off, I didn't think it was shinny enough (unlike you guys) and did much polishing.
  14. Aircraft stripper from Avanced Auto(I think). I didn't use tape all so I guess you wouldn't like mine. It is a lot of work. It's a lot of work.
  15. You could always put on some weight.
  16. Is octane rated the same in all countries?
  17. Testrider, did you change yours just to be safe? The old one still good? If so, do you want to sell it to me?
  18. Dotage: 1-feeble and childish state due to old age; senility. 2-a doting; foolish or excessive affection.
  19. My son is a mechanic and uses only Snap On tools. The guys stops in all the time (son owes him many $$$'s). He might be able to get them replaced for you but there would be shipping involved.
  20. I never take mine off but maybe it fits alittle different than yours. I don't want to keep taking the bolts in and out of the brakes. EDIT: Well, I just went out and looked at mine. It does not hit the rad with the bars straight like you would ride but if you go full lock (like locking the forks) it does hit. Yea, my rad is banged in some. Thanks for the heads up North. It has been on for two or three years.
