I have some mirror extenders on my XX and they made a huge difference.

It would be great to have anti lock brakes for the bird. Especially for when you are passing more than one car at once, but that's another story. I think it would be easier on the pocketbook just to get a newer bike that came with ABS. Like a sexy cherry red ST1300 or sweet black FJR.

I sold the Superhawk, Pat, and planned on going to Atlanta tomorrow to buy the 'bird (I'd already contacted the seller of my intent). Nice, but fairly pointless. It's just a metal rack. Something you might bungee to, but not quite enough. Wonder if there are cases that work with it. JC Whitney has several universal mount top cases on their site that could be made to fit. I bet those two fiddys are popular overseas, especially in Asia, they surely have top boxes to haul the chickens to market.

A friend of mine and Walt's just bought a '08 FJR. It has the oil filter on the side, out in the open, so you don't have to remove any fairing to change it. Very considerate of Yamaha. That bike is SWEET and would make a good replacement for the XX for any of you guys looking. First rate fit and finish.
