  1. I can confirm both a 2002 tail section and a 1998 tail section will fit over a Mototek undertail. I've run both.
  2. WOW! That is awesome. I really like the new tail section. I like things to be unique. I'm thinking of buying a wrecked VTR996 that needs a new sub-frame. Wonder what you could do to that! Keep posting pics, there are some of us that marvel at such creativity.
  3. Thanks, nothing like a little affirmation.

Crystal, Let's hope for our sake he reads post number two and doesn't have an electrifying experience.
  5. Not sure if the fall off the trailer triggered this, but I'm leaking brake fluid onto the swingarm. Looks like the banjo bolts leading from the rear brake line/pedal are spitting fluids. I tried to tighten the bolt, but didn't solve the problem. I can only guess buying new washers should fix the problem. Anyone else experienced this unpleasantry? The main junction point Sean blew apart in July, is fine, I'm speaking of the set-up south of the main distribution center. Please forgive my lack of concise use of Honda terms. Oh, and is there a more complete rebuild kit besides just the two washers I plan on replacing?

Oh, and UNPLUG the dryer before you install the element. Last thing you want to get zapped with is 220.

Should be able to install a new heating element. Not that tough, call Sears and provide them your model number.
  8. I was told to wait at least 30 days prior to painting concrete.
  9. Does anyone know where to get the dog bone? BUMP I have a 954 shock. Thanks to Peter   Peter you da MAN! Thanks.
  10. Chris Appel has the fork mounted lights, they were very nice from my perspective; riding in front of him!
  11. I recently bought some chrome bulbs from Auto Zone/Pep Boys, when I was fixing the damage to my bike, and installing the new clear turn signals. Oddly, what I found was my chrome coated 1157 bulbs did not illuminate amber when turned on. Instead they have the blue hue to them, with no orange or yellow at all. Will let you know what I think of them as time goes by. So far, they have ZERO amber bleed over in the signal cavity.
  12. I found this out the hard way. 1999 and newer bikes don't have the three wires. They have a white/opaque square plug. We were luck in '97 and '98. Guy I work with asked me to change out his left mirror housing on his '99 bird. The job was made minimally harder because his wiring did not fit throught the hole in the upper fairing.
  13. I simply "tricked" the bike. I added another additional signals under my tail section, which illuminates out the exhaust hole on the tail. I wired it in-line with the junk LED's provided with the Mototek undertail. By basically "loading" up the wires, it returned to its normal flash rate. Sorry for not being concise with the electrical lingo, but it worked for me. I used mini stalk Lockhart Phillips signals.
  14. Must post pics, never seen this product!
  15. NADA, nothin, Zilch..................... All my love.
  16. This is what I used instead. Figured the tiles would have cost me nearly a grand. Did this for $150.00 http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_p...uct_id=56&SBL=1
  17. I was going to do the tiles, still might..........
  18. Wish you had posted this sooner........was thinking of a Penske, but this might be a fun mod.
  19. Dale, I went to your website, and read your detailed tutorial on how to install spark plugs the simple way. Sadly my hands were to big, but my wife helped out. Your instructions were AWESOME. Thanks! Went with the Iridiums, nice plug! Oh, and Alan, if you read this the plugs that came out looked perfect. A true testament to your tuning prowess.
  20. Ding, Ding. BUMP...... Plus (+) I wanna see pics of the chrome dildo being worked. I know he will post them, based on his past pic posts.
  21. WOW! After reading this, I will have to pass on the free 190's I was offered!
  22. Buddy of mine used an automotive, "Paintless Dent remover" guy. Also called dent wizard. Try calling a used car lot and ask them who does their ding repairs. Not sure air will work as I'm very certain the tank is double walled. Can't remember what year your bike is, but I have a second tank for a carbie bird.
