  1. Do you get messages via this link?

  2. Yeah. And they also got a screaming great deal on it.
  3. Thanks. I was hoping one of you guys would take this great bike. It really is a good one, but I'm happy it's moving on.
  4. Yeah. The 1098 has a standard issue lap timer. I know what you mean about a bike seeming like part of your body. My 1098 seems like it's almost telepathic after the suspension mods. The Kyle 30mm triple and the Ohlins bits changed the whole personality of the bike. The stock set up used to push a bit in the corners when you got on the gas hard. Now you can hold your line or change it at will. It just goes where you point it either on or off the gas. It's the best motorcycle I've ever ridden. I wouldn't even think of selling if I was still riding.
  5. I really can't say anything negative about the bike. Having no gas gauge is the closest thing to a drawback about this bike. It has a low fuel light, so it's not a big deal. No thanks on the boat, bit I'll bet you would look great on a Duc! ;-)
  6. One last price drop before the bike goes to e-bay. $9500 cash.
  7. Price drop to $10,500. This bike needs a new home.
  8. Yeah. The bike was brand new then and still had the paper dealer tag. The Termi exhaust was on, but not much else yet. God, I still love the music that thing makes!! Thanks for posting the vid!
  9. I'm 6'-6" and this bike is surprisingly comfortable the way it's set up. I also have the passenger seat and pegs.
  10. I don't understand why this bike isn't in someone else's garage by now. I've had a few people ask about it, but no one has even come to look at it. It's in perfect shape with great accessories, better suspension than a 1098S and I think the price is very fair (AKA cheap!). Do I need better pictures, is the price still too high, are there other questions I can answer, etc.? I'm stumped and I need to sell this Ducati.
  11. I think my original price was more than fair, but this great bike hasn't sold, so I must be wrong. I lost my job and this bike has to go. I'll take $11,000 for it and that's an absolute steal. Please look at the first page for a list of the features included. I'll listen to reasonable offers too.
  12. You're right and the Ohlins parts on my bike are a big step above the parts that come on the S models. My bike would likely run away and leave a stock 1199 or 1199S in the twisties.
  13. Thanks Tom. I know most guys here don't keep up with Duc stuff, but the suspension bits aren't the relatively cheap OEM Ohlins bits. They are top line aftermarket items. The Kyle triple tree makes a world of difference too. The bike corners unbelievably well.
  14. Back to the top. One of you guys need to buy this great bike. Like Travis said, this is a GREAT deal for some lucky rider.

    Avon Tires

I had a couple of sets of Avons. I think the first set may have been 35/36's. I had a set of 45/46's and liked them until I came home from a "spirited" ride on my old XX and found the tread split and coming apart. You might be able to do a search and find the pics. It scared the shit out of me and I swore off of Avons after that.
  16. Well, the bike sat in my shop all winter, but it has a new owner now. Thanks for looking. Now someone needs to buy my sweet Ducati!
  17. I should have mentioned that the Ohlins suspension bits are not OEM Ducati that would be found on the 'S' models. The bits on my bike are the top of the line Ohlins parts and were the best available. The Dan Kyle triple clamps are 30mm offset and dramatically improve the handling. You may have heard that Ducatis are uncomfortable, but I don't find that to be true. Believe it or not, I actually found the Duc to be more comfortable than my old XX.
  18. Brett would look good on it wouldn't he?
  19. I hate to do it, but it's time to put my beloved Duc up for sale. I'm not riding any more and it's a waste to let the bike just sit in the garage. It started life as the first 2008 in Oklahoma and I've turned it into what I call a 1098S+ with the suspension parts. It's a great bike and I hope the new owner will enjoy it as much as I have. The pic in my avatar is the bike when it was a few days old. It doesn't show most of the mods. I can send pics if you are interested. I'm asking $12,000 and I think that's fair considering everything included with the bike. 20. We have two First gear jackets for sale. The first is a black Men's 2XL with a winter liner. $75 plus shipping - SOLD The second is a barely worn red and black Lady's Large jacket with the winter liner. $75 plus shipping.
  21. We plan to stop riding and we are selling our riding gear. This is the first item up for sale. It is a virtually new Shoei X-11 helmet, size Medium. There's not a mark on it that I can see. I think my wife wore it twice since we bought it new. It includes the original box, the original paperwork and accessories. It also includes a mirrored shield along with the original clear shield and a helmet bag. $400 plus shipping.
  22. No time like the present! I'm in the dealing mood and I want this bike in someone else's garage by winter time.
