  1. I recently removed my houseing to attempt in tinting my turn signals.. I nearly screwed mine up attempting to get the screw out.. I used the biggest screw driver that would fit.. with a flat tip.. not the point ass philips screw drivers.. and held my mirror really tight and put alot of ass into it.. Might wanna see about trying a impact driver.. I have had good luck with them in the past on stubborn screws.. I really need to get another one myself
  2. I did my plugs at 8k miles... didn't have nearly as much irridium left on it as yours
  3. ok not really.. Did alittle fork/handle bar adjusting this evening while we are having some shitty weather. I lowered the triple tree 1/4" and raised my bars a whole 1/2" Feels super comfy.. and as a added bonas I can almost completly flat foot the bird I am only 5'9" roughly I yanked out my rear shim (5.3mm) cause of my lack of touching the ground. I am going to redo it but only use (3.0mm) of shim this time and see how this improves the handleing. She was super sweet in the twisties with the previous shim. I took it out and rode the mountains again  and just plainly sucked.. Thanks Demon for the tip.
  4. Hey Pete while sitting at work bored as a mother fucker.. I was thinking more and more about this method... I thought of the same thing about tire sizes.. Wonder just how accurate it is running a 180 and a 120 series tires.. :???:
  5. I don't know... I thought alot of the new Harleys are belt driven.. So with a tensioner pulley they don't have a reason to move the rear rim unless for tire changes.. Might try it at home and see how well it works..
  6. I am running 36F and 38R on my Avons. That is what most of Avon users are running. Won't take long to ruin a tire with the wrong air pressure. I got about 3200 or so out of my rear right now, and will probably have to replace it within the next 1,000 miles if that.. No I don't do burnouts either, I do mountain roads like a crack whore looking for a fix  Took off yesterday and rode over to the BRP for most of the day. 480 miles later I came home from playing
  7. Yeah on my 750 I had before my bird I had a full D&D, along with some other mods  You heard me coming from over 2 miles away  Buddy lived 3 miles down the road from me.. He could hear me catching every gear if I was putting foot into her ass. I kinda miss that bike now.. I enjoyed bouncing her ass off the rev limiter
  8. Yeah Hatchman who the bike in the pictures belongs to, told me that a friend of his also had the same problems with their tires.. they both have stopped running avon tires and moved on to Diablo's for the track. I probably only have a couple more trips to the mountains before my rear AV46 is gone. I will probably get 4500 to 5000 miles out of it. Will try a AV50 and see which one I like better
  9. bike is a 2k2 Aprila mille he races.. He did that at VIR Wish I could make my tires look like that.. Mine don't have the balling up like that.. but have seen mine do some cold tearing before.. I got the little ripping on the left side about a inch or so long and on the right side just alittle bit.. :???: Was curious if others running the AV46 rear had the same problem? I plan on going to the AV50 next go around
  10. noticed my rear tire sorting splitting after a joyful ride in the moutains  I have seen it on another riders race tires doing the same thing.. My digital camera is dead. But got some pics of his tire showing it.. I can email them to someone if they can post them up.. I know I was riding hard in the mountains but didn't think I was pushing that hard :???: Kinda looks as if I ran over something, but its on the left and right side at the exact same place on the tire..
  11. can you send me 4.1 quarts and let me test it out
  12. Tar but wonder how much longer you motor will last compared to one running 0w-20
  13. I got an 02' the faster silver ones
  14. i also thought about that.. yesterday I was flat out flogging 3rd gear.. and bike temp went up too 210 while riding the twisties.. but would go down to 190 on normal roads... it was also hotter than hell yesterday.. sweat was pouring off my balls like water coming out of a garden hose
  15. On my little group ride yesterday we were talking about bike maintance. We compared what chain lube we used, and all that fun jolly shiznit Well engine oil came up.. I mentioned I was running the Mobil 1 15w-50 Buddy of mine couldn't believe me. Said that running that thick of a oil was actually robbing my engine of HP. He runs Mobil 1 bike oil in his 929, and think his 996 ducati.. How much HP is being robbed? I figured no more than 2 or 3.. We talked about thicker oil compared to thinner oil running in a tight spec high performance engine..
  16. http://www.indysuperbike.com/customer/prod...at=14205&page=1 Pretty cheap prices there.. Wanna get a PC for my bike to have her dyno tuned. What map is preloaded into the PC III when you get it.. The shop I will have my bike tuned at it about 150 miles away.. Don't wanna fug something up if I plug it in.
  17. My wife is out for the season (got a bun in the oven) plus she has her own bike I bought her for nexy yr season
  18. well... after my 400 mile ride today.. I am thinking about taking them back out.. I am too much on the short side.. and with the shim I am tip toeing the bike and its scary watching me when stopped Might buy me some platform riding boots..
  19. I used it for my front tire that developed a really bad shake not too long after putting it on... right at 1,000 miles on it.. their email was down when I did it... go to the avon site and get the phone number.. they are in washington state.. but got a 1(800) number to them.. they will tell you to take your tire to a dealership to get the tread depth checked
  20. I didn't pay anything for this mod... Actually if anything I got paid to do it.. I was at work in the shop, when I remembered it. So I went and got our digital mircometer out the drawer and went to one of the bolt bins we have in the shop.. after checking out several washers for the I.D. for the shaft of the shock I grabbed a few and stuck with 5.3 mm with 3 of them together  30 minutes to put on and adjust...
  21. Wow is right... I didn't go the full 6mm, only found washers that made it 5.3mm and used them. After 2 full weeks of sitting cause of rain I finally got to do a 8 mile test ride before rain fell once again on the dried roads I had waited so long for. The bike reacts so much quicker to my reactions, leans over without a problem giving awsome turn-in  I give this mod 2 thumbs up :cycle:
  22. yep what redbird said.. I got some on my bike and love the carbon covering up that awful gold crap...
  23. I talked to the head mechanic at a bike shop for dyno tuning my bird. We already got a baseline run in the computer. Said he would dyno tune my bike for $75 if I bring in the bike with the PCIII already installed  $75 bucks to dyno tune  that has my attention
  24. hahaha... motor is there but had a miss in it I do need to go get it
